Anyone know how far behind they are on shipping eBay purchases? I’m on day 12 of a 7 day estimate. I’m not in a hurry, I’m just curious at what kind of timeframe I’m looking at.

Mine is sitting at 4700 on COMC, WELL below ebay. Hell, that's $1,000 below ebay completed on 2/1.

Why would you sell for $1,000 less and not just send your COMC card to Ebay and let them sell it for you?

Well, I've read more than 1 member here send their card for auction and have it disappear. I really didn't want to go down that road. Probstein himself isn't an option after what's been posted on this forum about his lack of contact and losing items.

Hey guys... isnt there someone who works at COMC that is a part of these boards?
I accidentally requested a shipment to the wrong address and would like to cancel the shipment / redo it. I did send an email but I know they are really busy. Hoping that I can get ahold of someone here.. I know I was able to talk to a nice gentlemen a few years ago on here that worked for comc. Any help would be greatly appreciated... if I dont catch them in time to cancel the order my post office will just return them and it would take a very long time for them to get them back...

I am a little curious as to whether quasi-trading is permitted on COMC. I know there is no mechanism to trade directly, but I have seen posters suggest trading is possible by setting agreed upon low prices and effectively transferring ownership after a negotiated trade that way. I was thinking it would be fairly easy with minimal fees to negotiate a trade, then each party makes "offers" of $1 on each of the cards which is then accepted to complete the "trade." Is there anything "wrong" (from COMC's point of view or policies) from doing this? I am interested in moving out of cards that don't hold any special interest to me into cards on my wantlist through trades, but I would not want to jeopardize my COMC account by doing something that is wrong. Any thoughts or experiences?

Right or wrong it has been done. You buy a $5 card and I will buy a $5 card. That was before the 5% fee they charged. Now I see your down to $1 so they only get .05 each
The main issue is getting someone to do it with you. As there is no contact with other sellers on COMC. You would have to find them on other sites (like this) and work it out there. Some does not want to be found. You can always contact them and see what they say.

Then you've also got to hope that no bots (if there are any on COMC?) snatch it before your trader buddy gets it. But really, for 99% of people, they just want to buy cards and sell cards on site. If you want to trade, start a thread in the BST COMC section and work from there. |

2) Most previous COMC employees who are on Blowout don't work with the company anymore, but some still post here. 3) Currently there are a couple of COMC employees that are still on blowout, but they prefer to keep a lower profile. |

This might belong in the tax section but here it goes ... for anyone who has received a 1099k that has COMC cash out payments there, how do you figure out your COGS (cost of goods sold)?
I made ~5,000 sales last year for 10k in gross revenue. No idea where I originally got my cards from. Heck, some of them sold were probably left in my account from 2011. I open boxes, buy collections on Craigslist, card shows, card shops, trade, flip, etc. Seems redic to try and find the original cost of each of these 5,000 cards. Def. wasn't 10k in profit. But I need to figure out what I can subtract. Thanks! |

Not offering up any actual tax or legal advice here, but the word on the street is that you can deduct the price you paid for the items sold from your revenue. The burden is on you to provide evidence of the price you paid in an audit. In the event of an audit, the evidence necessary would likely be receipts for the specific cards purchased and later sold. If you don't have such evidence/documentation, the IRS is likely to disallow these expenses and you will be taxed on the full amount (plus, interest and maybe penalties). What you might consider "redic" is what the IRS considers necessary to substantiate your claimed expenses.

If you have a twitter account, you could try them there, as well...the more public you make the situation, the quicker they'll resolve it so it goes away...

Had a couple hundred added tonight, around 50 items uploaded as base cards when they are autographs and don't have that in title. Kind of annoying.

I'm new to COMC - how long should it take for an "Elite" order that was received on 1/29 to be entered? How about a 3 week order that was received before? Neither have been checked in. Should I expect similar backlogs to PSA and just forget about the stuff I'm sending for a year?

January sales were 816 cards for $4,369. My port usually hovers around having 3,000 cards in it, so sold around 25% of it. Usually it is around 10% sold on an average month. I do not run any promotions / sales. |

From the time COMC emails you and tells you they mailed a check is there a delay and do they give you a tracking number I only ask because I am expecting a rather large check and they said they shipped it, it is not overdue yet however I do not see a tracking number anywhere for it. You would think if they send you a 20K check and charged as much as they do for processing it they would ship it Fed ex next day or some quicker means and provide tracking so I can make sure someone is there to sign for it. So basically my long question is How do they send you the check USPS, Fed Ex or DHL and do they usually give you tracking, and is that tracking number posted on my account somewhere...All I got is an email last week saying my check was mailed and nothing else.

COMC 1099 question: Let's say someone funds their account with $200, and over the course of the year, uses that credit to submit and sell various cards on the site. At the end of the year, the account consists of some of the unsold cards, a balance of about $100, and a PSA 9 Kobe Chrome rookie worth an estimated $6500. Does COMC send a 1099 in that situation, or no since no money was withdrawn? Would the answer change if instead there was a year-end COMC credit balance of $8000? I understand that this does not impact the need to report sales for tax purposes, but I was curious whether (and when) a 1099 is issued by COMC.
