I think the Rays made more sense. They have prospects to trade, they’ve been close to a WS W without being able to seal the deal, and they’re small market so their window won’t last forever (not that it’s closing after this year).

P.S. Angels remind me of the sellers who list best offer and then end up deleting the listing due to a flood of low balls.

I think the irrational bidding is slowing down a bit. I'm actually winning things again. Pretty happy with a few of these purchases on the way.

But yeah, BCA is king. That's a whole other animal. The celling is incredibly high.

What does everyone think of the '23 TC Ohtani image variation? I mean, I don't hate it...but it seems like kind of an odd choice. Looks more fitting for a Downy ad than a baseball card.

I kind of hate it, to be honest. I'm all for image variations being fun pics, stuff outside the 'game proper' so to speak - but this? Half his face obscured by a random pile of gear (and a towel??)? No. Give me a break.

I'm not even asking for something as great as the Adley SSP:

But at least give us something as nice as the Trout SP:
