If the case is closed in your favor (which it will be, since tracking shows Delivered) then it won't count against you in any way.

wrong...I had a INR opened after delivery,,,the buyer even admitted they got the card, but wanted to voice there displeasure about standard envelopes.

Only counts for inrs if it's ruled in buyers favor. If ebay rules it counts twice. If it later shows delivered you contact ebay and it's removed. Never had one not removed

If you sell more than 400 items every 3 months they fall off after 90 days not 1 year.

Now they do keep another metric on inrs but all it does is extends your estimated delivery date out 1 or 2 days. It will not cause you to go below standard

Regardless the ese pip insurance is easier to collect when a claim is opened and you ensure tge other benefits. I will happily tell any buyer to open a claim before I will even consider a refund and I have never gotten any warning about it.

If you go into high mark on internal then odds are there are more issues than buyers opening claims. It's near 10% from my understanding.

I would guess most of them don't keep doing it, because they might make/save 25 cents an hour for their time.

Pure guess, but I don't recall seeing anyone doing it for a long period of time.

Once tgey type it out its a matter of copy and paste so really no time involved. They save it in a file and go from there

I think they just shotgun these out to lots of sellers at once. Still a terrible use of their time. I've definitely gotten more than one from the same guy, who forgot that he already told me the same fake story that I ignored months before. Now I just block them immediately the first time.

Let's say it takes five seconds and saves them a dollar on one in a hundred tries. That's still less than McDonalds pays a high school kid to serve fries.

Since my local clerk decided to screw up I am dealing with a crap storm of angry customers and here is the latest. The worrisome part is not one item out of 15 I have shipped has updated when it got to the distribution center like I was told it would. Combine that with my local Po delivering a return label attached to nothing last week I am less than thrilled with them at this time. Sucks having to routinely clean up other peoples messes.

edit: Just since I've been up this morning I have had 5 more pissed off people reach out to me. I have 3 INR cases against me and a cancellation request as well as someone wanting a refund. Tracking is not updating for them/me but at my local post office it works fine for them so at least there is that. Its going to cost me hours of time dealing with this and likely getting negatives removed as I am sure I am going to get. So far Texas is leading in being the most impolite and its not even close. Do better Texas.

Woke up to an Australian buyer demanding a refund because hid items shows it was delivered to Glen Heights IL not Australia. Accuemsed me of scamming him he was going to press charges on me and everything.

For how much we are charged in selling fees, there should be a way for us to just send this information to eBay and let them do the explaining about international shipping to the customer.

Its explained to them when they buy. Some will play a game where they try to scare the seller into just refunding. Many sellers fear having cases opened or the possibility they could get a neg. They do not understand it themselves scammers will look and prey on those sellers.

Yeah I'm with everyone who said the address change is not your problem. I get that you're trying to be nice to this guy but he's not returning that courtesy. Even if he was, never give up your protection until you're satisfied.

Sending the return to the address on the label provided to you is the only move here that makes any sense. It's time to stop being nice and do what you gotta do. The seller did this to themselves by trying to sell you a busted piece of junk in the first place.

Resolution on this, I ended up just sending as it said on the postage. It got rerouted wherever (guessing he no longer has that PO) and marked as delivered. He immediately put in a dispute to refund with the note "buyer did not ship to where i told him to". Took ebay less than 24 hours to side with me

I don't know why, but I still get amazed how many idiots there are yet with people spending their money without doing research. Of course though it could be a lot of people trying to scam the system too but they are too lazy to actually research their failed scamming attempts.
