As the self proclaimed largest Tatis bag holder on this thread...I have to admit I thought Tatis would be having a better year and I am really disappointed. Still hopeful as the guy is still only 25.

I think it's evident that 2024 Tatis Jr is a materially different player from 2019-2021 Tatis.

Historically, June is one of Fernando's better months during the season. Guess we will see in the next few weeks.


Still has more home runs than Mookie

There are so many variables that might contribute to a hitters like Tatis, Vlad Junior Arod etc not repeating their early years in the MLB. One i feel contributes but by no means stands alone, is the fact that there is so much data compiled on each hitter with every at bat, and analyzed, that after a few years and hundreds of at bats later pitchers and catchers have which area of the strike zone each hitter has had their best and least success as well as so many other factors -it follows if this is indeed the case, each hitter has to re-invent themselves so to speak and make their weaknesses their strengths which is easier said then done -add to that the mental component of the game and dealing with that at 23-25 years of age and not playing up to where you know you can play and the whole gets deeper -obviously their are so many variables that might explain the slow start for these elite baseball players but I cant help but think players like Tatis and the others mentioned will figure it out and come back stronger

While I was expecting Tatis to get back to 2021 form this year, it is nice to see him starting to hit better!
