We fans really did get lucky with the teams around Posada, Jeter, Bernie, Mo, and Andy. 5 guys you loved. Now I love Judge and maybe Bader and that's it.

Just bad move after bad move without any repercussions. Safest job in the world right now is probably Cashmans.

Absolutely. Best jobs to have for job security include Government employee, weatherman, and Brian Cashman.

The 95 through 2009 were the great years. I also enjoyed the 76 through 81 years but lately there aren’t many players on this team I like and that is also Cashmans fault.

Yep the type of pitcher that feasts against Yankees hitting. 2 runs after the first 2 batters nothing since.

Last 25 games 12-13 .220/.280/.374/.654 ! 3.80 runs per game. You can’t replace a player who can change the outcome in any given opportunity.

I'm really starting to loathe this group. When the Braves lost Acuna for the season they didn't just fold like bitches.

This entire lineup is has shown they are nothing without Judge. It's absolutely ridiculous. Baseball is all about next man up. This isn't the NBA. And yet they can't score runs.

Weakest #@#@#@#@ing bunch I've ever seen. Rays have a bunch of nobodies in their lineup. And we have these veteran players that can't get a big hit to save their life.

Yeah every loss like this is brutal.

I just think back on guys we missed out on, Olson is killing , and we get Montas.

The roster is just crappy and getting older. We have no trade chips.

Its death by a thousand cuts as we have hit the cellar.

Are we headed back to the late 80's/early 90's????

Don Mattingly in his prime.... veterans surrounding him with good names, Barfield, Kelly, Henderson, Balboni, Slaught, Sax, Mel Hall, mediocre pitching (Sanderson, Leary, Hawkins, LaPoint)

Names sound great on paper, but this team was absolutely awful in that stretch before the 95-96 teams started a major turn around

The Yankees are going to be mediocre and disappointing until they can rid themselves of Stanton, DJLM, Donaldson, Rizzo even at this point, Severino, and get productive youth coming from the system.

They develop talent terribly, but maybe if they would have just stuck with players they've traded they would have options for a better future

Players traded away over the past couple seasons

Ezequiel Duran
Josh H Smith
Hayden Wesneski
Kevin Alcantera
Gio Urshela (only because I like him better than Donaldson lol)
Luis Medina
JP Sears
Ken Waldichuk
Jorge Mateo
Garret Whitlock (didn't trade, he was rule 5 i believe)
Roansy Contreras
Canaan Smith-Njigba
Thairo Estrada
Jordan Montgomery (jury is still out on that dealfor Bader)
Giovanny Gallegos

that's not hall of famers, but most of them are players we could use right now. I'd love Duran back, Gallegos too specifically. Contreras would be decent depth in the rotation, Estrada would be great too

A month ago I said this team was trash, people got their panties in a wad. Now everyone seems to be coming around.

We were pretty good when healthy. We went toe to toe offensively with Tampa and beat the Dodgers in L.A. now I'm not gonna hang my hat on those games.

But the Judge injury just screwed up everything. And then the annual long absence of Big G compounded things.

Now this team is just treading water. Hopefully Cashman can make a few shrewd moves during the TD and we can right the ship.

They were never good, with or without Judge.

They are always good. But never great. Never elite. That's the problem. And then they think they can patch things up with low key signings and catch lightning in a bottle for a little while.

And of course it hasn't worked.

This. Yankees didn't stand a chance against the Astros last year. Look at Judge's postseason #'s. The best team Yankees have had during this run was 2017. Since 2020 they have not been good.

Well it is what it is I will just watch the rest of the season and hope it doesn’t get any worse.

True 2017 was a pleasant surprise as nobody expected them to go to game 7 of the ALCS.
2018 The Red Sox were just unbelievable
2019 I thought they had a chance but still couldn’t beat the Astros.
2020 I am actually glad they didn’t win it in the covid shortened season would’ve seemed hollow.
2021 I really don’t remember this season.
2022 great first half gave us false hope and unfortunately the second half was more a reality of the team they would become highlighted with a sweep by the Astros to end their season.
2023 We knew it would suck once everyone Cashman acquired either became injured or sucked on the field.

I think we as fans are in the middle of a long dry spell without a World Series win 2010 and counting with no relief in sight. My hopes of seeing them win one more before I pass are getting shorter.

Question I won’t be around to say who was right but I will be around if they do win one.

I am 61 in decent health but not as active as I could be.

Do the Yankees win another World Series before I die options below.

Die already so the rest of us can see one.

Yes they will win one and it will be glorious.

They are not winning for awhile so you better hope you have more than 20 years left.

2096 would be the year they would match the Red Sox drought after the curse of Ruth so my condolences and R.I.P to all my fellow Yankees fans in this thread because in a very somber thought we will all be dead by then.

In 2021 the Red Sux beat us in the WC, Evoldi controlled us, Stanton was the only one who showed up, Cole exited early. Forgettable for sure.

Yea I read about that season 41-41 at the halfway point finished 51-29 to give false hope and then Cole crapped the bed.
