I pulled a stained glass 65 Ozzie Smith from a retail three-pack (the one with the gold minis.)

Not sure how much overlap there is with Twitter on here but figured I would share this picture.

These are the boxloaders that I pulled over five cases!

Do the cabinet rip cards rip only in the back so you can still display the front unblemished as in the post above?

Yes they rip in the back. They have 2 pull tabs. Should be ok on the front.

I got a box. Contents fully listed in the breaks section but here were the hits... first 3 were the Butcher, Swanson and Kepner auto, so I wasn't overly excited. Then I pulled hits 4 and 5 from the last 3 packs, and was pretty pumped.

Question: What could the redemption be? I don't see it listed on the checklist, so I really don't know if I should redeem or sell.

It'll be something like this.

Really depends on your preference and if you're collecting vintage/"oddities".
Best of luck whatever you decide!

That redemption is for an original Allen & Ginter card. Congrats on the find.

Interesting. And thank you for posting that, I had no idea. I figured it would be just the 1/1 version of an auto or something from this year.

Now I'm even more torn because I really only collect modern (besides 1 T206 that I got for super cheap). Any idea on a price the originals go for, or are they all over the place based on what card you get? I can't find any on ebay, and after seeing the one above, I am very confused at what this could turn out to be.

These are "right collector/right time" items; you're likely to get more ROI within a few days of the release (but it's impacted somewhat by the redemption vs. live card). If you aren't picky (and you don't mind waiting), redeeming the redemption is a pretty viable option, too.

On the other hand, if you're more of a "modern" collector, you could shoehorn a secondary sale into a nice modern autograph or two...

Just noticed the metal minis say “made in China” on the back of the card. This doesn’t appear on any other cards in the release.

Weird that they only hand numbered some of the metal minis, neither of the ones I pulled are numbered.

Did any one have minis that were larger than the normal mini card?

I just don't know what could come out of these things. Are they all weird stuff like the "Jewel of the Order of the Thistle", or could they be actual players? I'm not too familiar with this product, and it does have some oddball stuff.

I'm in no hurry, and I used ebay bucks so I'm under $40 out of pocket on the box. I'm hoping I can sell the singles and recoup that. Would you (and others are welcomed to chime in on this as well) redeem this if you personally owned it, or sell as is? All feedback is welcome, and I will take no offense if you treat me like a complete novice.

I did. Noticeably bigger when holding all the minis together. Mine was Fergie Jenkins #362

This also happened last year with only the EXTs hand numbered to 3 I believe.
