I bought a few 10s but stopped pretty quickly once I got a 10 that had an obvious corner issue. 9s are deals compared to 10s, and even raw cards in many cases. For cards I'm looking at, a tiny premium over raw I get a slabbed 9.

Two of the red/25 sold this year: bgs 8.5 for about $10k and bgs 9.0 for $20k. The auto on the red /25 is nicer since it has the loop near end. You might be able to get a good deal because of the error to /25. Just watch out in pop reports there are two red autos within 3 of each other (372 vs 375): https://www.beckett.com/grading/set_...=all&limit=500

Also looks like they were graded at the same time. Huge jump in edge grade between them.

In a transactional comp world, it can be hard to narrow parameters on the rare/strange. The second opinions always help. This is what makes this forum a great place!

And yeah, $20 range is what I was looking at for a 9 so that aligns relatively.

You might get your chance at a couple reds here pretty soon. Also has the stamp error and person is struggling to sell it at Dallas Card Show.

Yeah, that's the guy who I'd be looking to grab one from. Solid feedback that he is having trouble moving them. I guess people are understandably cautious spending $10K+ on an error card. Easy to say "red!!" and harder to pay up, I guess. More food for thought.

Would love to see Ohtani make it to 400 total bases this season. He currently has 232 through 93 team games, which puts him on pace for 404. No player has reached 400 total bases since Sosa, Bonds, Helton and Luis Gonzales in 2001.

Lol I’m not sure how his cards could rise any higher. The card world has a lot of money being thrown at it right now. It’s an incredible situation.

Seems like there’s been a definite uptick in speculating the last few weeks.
There’s obviously always some but it feels like a lot more of the cards I’m watching lately are immediately getting relisted by their new owner. It’s like Dude, you just had the highest bid/offer, it didn’t go up 75% in the time it took the card to reach you.
