Its not that big of a deal. Everyone knows that there will be a ton of closer roles determined during spring and most of the guys he drafted are on last place teams.

Thing is, it's basically bonus points for him even if none close (def possible that they all set up) unless they pull a Jim Johnson... since we have 5 more roster slots.

Anyone facing him without his own battalion of RPs will be at a disadvantage.

What do you mean by "way over"? No limit on RP games or IP, no? He can just shuffle around the P and RP slots and pick SPs depending on matchups so he doesn't go over 13.

Yep. No limit on relievers

He has to trade some of that pitching for bats. He's going to have some double starts during the week where he'll be screwed

I fully understand the strategy, I had a couple non-closer relievers consistently chipping in a few points every day early on in the year and it worked out great. I just never would have taken the strategy as far as you just did
