Bedard base YG prices won't sustain, even if he is really good. However, at least UD does SP the Young Guns (although they print a ton of product so it sort of offsets). Regarding Wemby, I don't do basketball anymore but historically rookies are not SP in Prizm. They're like any other base card, so not hard at all to pull. Only the parallels are SP so they're the only ones that retain any real value. That said, it's no guarantee you will get a base copy in any given box.

Actually...... the RCs in Prizm are slightly SP, out of a pack there is a special slot for RCs, and if you do the math, there are less RCs than vet base than you would expect given a random distribution. That being said, pretty much everyone throws away vet base of UD flagship or prizm so no one really notices or cares.

Bedard Portraits inserts is hanging around $15 which is still way too high. But… man… imagine being those slugs hitting BIN on release day for $100.

I’ve consigned my remaining Sp1 to COMC twice and both times were NPB. If that card is being falsely propped up you can be sure others are as well.

Apparently there is some comc policy that once your card enters the auction portal, it is there for infinity. I would love to be able to get it back into my inventory and just sell it at BIN.

He's doing fine for being an 18 year old on a crappy team. I wouldnt be paying Crosby or McDavid prices for him though, he needs to prove himself over the long term.

Exactly this, Bedard priced as if he has won multiple Art Ross/Hart trophies, compounded with what should be a very high print run for his Young Guns.

Nathan MacKinnon YG PSA 10 can be had for $600-$700 all day long.
Cale Makar at $400-$500.
Auston Matthews about $1100.
With this year's print run and the coming of Epack Bedard should be down to $1k by end of summer. This time next year who knows?

Speaking of E-Pack, I've basically given up on even getting one box on there (not that I was one of the ones waiting for it to hit before buying). The hysteria around even retail of this and how quickly just the UD Rookie Debut set sold out, if this is at all comparable in price to S1 I can see it selling out in under 2 mins and likely crashing UD site as they never prepare for surges like this. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if some E-Pack novices hammer cases of it thinking you can have the physical boxes sent to you like you can the cards lmao
