From the other thread which may be more relevant here, reached out to a seller after a week of no movement and got a response that he was gone and would get it out that day. This was Tuesday, it now says shipped but there is no tracking number...I assume this means he simply marked it as shipped and did not purchase the postage?

That or he shipped it with just a stamped envelope and didn't use ESE (or any other shipping type with tracking).

Paid for Ground Advantage, but also asked for tracking number early this AM with no response. Just feels shady.

I had a few sellers like that too. I always found it amazing how they are suddenly available to at least respond that they were out of town or whatever for however long and will ship that day only to see it marked as shipped and zero movement or the post office doesn't have it.

Yeah and still no response on the request for tracking, going to message him tomorrow if still no movement and tell him if I don’t get the tracking by the end of the weekend I’m canceling.

Won't be able to just cancel you will have to go through tge inr process. Which you can only start after estimated delivery date has passed

People putting in buyer notes on free shipping ESE's asking me to write stuff on the envelope like FRAGILE - DO NOT BEND. If I do this, one of two things will happen. 1 (most likely) it will be completely ignored. Or 2, they will read it, mark it non-machinable and then it will show up postage due to the buyer. And then you'll be pissed off. So no, I'm not going to do that. There was an option for you to pay for ground advantage shipping if you wanted it sent in a bubble mailer but you chose the free ESE shipping.

I received the feedback yesterday (5/21).

Buyer USPS expectations are wild.

This buyer purchased another card for me today, so they must have been happy

Can’t hire a regular postman and no one, even EBay tracking can explain why I keep getting messages as delivered hours before postman arrives and not even have item ! It’s their system. I order thousands of cards from EBay but getting ready to stop next time I get any problems & loose any more money because of this stupid system! They have been awhere & have clout to remedy,If wanted to before losing customers! Cliff

It has been explained many times why ese often get marked delivered sometimes days before tgey are delivered. If it's ground advantage then it's the carrier scanning at tge post office before tgey begin their route this can be due to laziness or possibly legit reasons

I was just adding to th SMH messages. Item was marked delivered last week. He reached out to me when it happened explained how he has so many problems with the uSPS. He came back said it never came, the amount of insane ramblings he went on was too many after the first time... I refunded him his 1.59 immediately and claimed my PIP. No reason to try to explain anything to a 70+ year old man with thousands of purchases. I refund block and move on for garbage like this.

Ummm...cool? Buy the lot for 5 bucks plus $5 shipping.

Pretty similar to one of the ones I alluded to above. "I went to high school with him so I collect his cards, will you take $20 for all the cards you have listed?" Went back to make sure I wouldn't lose money, told him I could do $20 plus shipping, never heard back. He's either inconsiderate or wanted $20 dlvd which would be lowball.

Both buyers and sellers.

I do not buy a lot on E-Bay but had a seller message me. He rant & raved about not paying. Giving me every reason non-paying buyer should be kicked off of E-Bay. He was going to block me and report me to E-Bay and even forum that he was on.

I asked what card as I did not buy anything from E-Bay around that time. Telling him he made a mistake on who he sends the message to. He gives me the card ID and told me if I did not pay in 24 hours, he would make sure everyone knows my name and address.

I told him I did not bid on it and he should know that E-Bay sees all of his messages. So do what you need to do.

Do not heard back again.

Just left a negative for non-receipt 4 business days after purchase. Tracking shows delivery on 3rd business day, so this guy is just a tool. Never reached out of course. Looking at his feedback he really enjoys leaving negatives for others. I expect mine to be removed by tonight. But you might want to save yourself a future neg.

If it shows delivered and neg is for non delivery that is an easy removal

Sounds like a huge headache, it might be better if they don't.

I applaud and appreciate your efforts to make a sale. Just a suggestion (from a low volume ebayer). Maybe take a little different approach with your first response. Maybe try something like this after an offer is made (via message or make best offer):

Lowest price today for this listing is $x (+ shipping if applicable).
If you want to buy it, just make a best offer for $x, it will auto accept, pay today, and it will ship on x. Thank you for the offer

Of course you will need to turn offers on (if not already on) and set the auto accept price before responding.
