I will say though that I doubt a trade ends up happening, the dead money cap hit to houston would be crippling.

If reports are accurate, Deshaun already has Jets as his #1, so I'm sure he would approve a no trade - although, I would think he is better off not doing that.

You are leaving Houston because why? Management don't care about their QB's opinion and on top of that, they mortgage their draft future for a 4-12 team. Deshaun is guarantee to be stuck in rebuild mode for a few more years. So going to Jets, doesn't help because they are also in a re-build mode and their draft capital is really all they have to get better.

Miami has a team that just miss the playoffs, they have the draft capital and a intriguing young QB to trade as well - They could instantly be contenders with a Top 5 QB.

To me, It is a no brainer and if I was Miami, I give Tua and a reasonable amount of picks to get it done.

As long as it's a reasonable amount of picks I'm all in... Miami would be a real contender with Watson.

Reports are that Houston doesn’t want Tua, so miami would need to find another trade for him. I don’t know that it’s a slam dunk that they can get a first back for him though.

Miami with Watson is a no doubt playoff contender, no idea why they wouldn’t jump at it.

i think it’s gonna cost both 1sts this year and a first next year, and maybe a 2 and 3 as well sometime over the next 2 years. Miami would then flip Tua to recoup a first or a second. You make a move like that to get a 25 year old franchise qb. They just don’t come available.

do you guys think NFL GMs view Tua's value comparable to a 1st Round pick, today?

I would love to see the WFT make a play for Watson, but would be happy to see him end up in Miami, as well.

interesting to see if the Phins could trade Tua for a draft pick, or a player Houston values

I think it depends on the team. I don’t think anyone is trading a top 10-15 pick for him. Maybe somebody later in the first round, say 25th or something like that.

I think the tape he put out this year is pretty scary. Even with Joey B’s knee injury, Tua is clearly running 3rd among the top 3 qb’s drafted. I think a high second right now is his value, but all it takes is one team who was high on him coming out of the draft.

You never want to write someone off after 6-7 games or whatever he played, but miami must be sick over passing up on herbert.

Sounds like he’s standing his ground no matter what.

Dunno why Houston isn’t entertaining the idea of trading him, the longer this goes on the more his value tanks, no?

Deshaun messed up. Should have asked for the trade when Billy O’Brien was there. He loved making horrid trades with their assets

If Houston does not get value for him they should tell him they are not trading him and he has two choices play for them or retire.

You would think so but we got the world for Harden so you never know.

Haven't really been paying attention to the prices so I don't get tempted to sell anything. Just saw the Stained Glass sold last night for $3050...
I bought 12 of those for $20 or less each a while back. Think I only have two left. So far the only things I've sold of Watson are those, base Prizms and a PSA 10 Red Power /49 because I had two.

If anyone's looking for a good deal, there's a Rookie Introductions PSA 9 on COMC for $60 (not mine). Doubt you'll find one cheaper than that the way prices are going.

Paid $2500 for a PSA 10 Contenders Auto #302 RC about a month ago, same card went for $8600 last night, both on ebay.

Wow. If legit, that is an incredible increase. Will be interesting to see if it is paid for, given that it was a PWCC auction...

Wow I can’t believe these prices already. It was pretty easy to see a surge coming but never thought it would happen this quick. So much for an off-season dip.

Wonder what happens to prices if he ends up staying in Houston.

The news here last night was saying he's staying but couldn't find anything to validate that.

I bought every Watson Optic on COMC at the beginning of August for between $27 and $31. Total of 35. Still holding in my account, not listed FS yet.

Personally I don’t see the Fins giving up on Tua that quick. (I think he has no chance in the NFL FWIW) Watson to the Jets makes sense but that’s a bit of a rebuild and somewhat tough division.
Colts are obviously built to win now but no way the trade in division.
49ers and Rams are drooling at the thought of a top 5 QB at the helm but what can they really offer??? We know what Goff and Jimmy G are.
All I know is where ever he goes this guy is gonna turn around the franchise... unless he stays in Houston.
The question is do his cards go way up from here?

If I'm Miami, I make that Tua trade and don't look back.

you dont make the Tua trade. You do not give away all those assets. The picks are way more valuable to Miami and give the kid a chance to see what he can do with weapons not named Isiah Ford or Mack Hollins
