Maybe they'll spread some of that color over to some of the Abrahan's with ink, too?

So for example, chrome base Senzels that look good?

I'm not sending Senzel in because of the small market and the slow start in the minors. There's a chance that the only chrome that make my first batch are Gleyber and Rutherford and that's only because I set up at a show in NJ. The chrome checklist this year is pretty disappointing.

I'm fairly confident that i overbid by about 300 bucks on my 3. Treated it like an eBay auction and bid against myself. Live and learn I guess

I did same thing for the Groome auto spot. Figured there'd be more interest on him then there was. I think I could have won it for about $350 less than I bid.

I hit more Arroyo in the jumbos than the Hobby.

Plus now you've hit another Gold. That spot has been paid for and then some. This product is about runs. If you get on the right run... $$$$$$

Look at the Groome spot. Boom!!

Now to all the people who though Low overpaid... still feel that way? Lol

Funny how that works. Groome hits big in first hobby case! Wasn't aware of the sketch cards, pretty cool.

Dansby Swanson RC Autos (through 27 cases)...

BASE - 1
REFRACTOR - 0
PURPLE REFRACTOR - 0
BLUE REFRACTOR - 0
GOLD SHIMMER REFRACTOR - 0
GOLD REFRACTOR - 0
RED REFRACTOR - 0
PRINTING PLATES - 0
PLAID HYPERCOLOR REFRACTOR - 0
MENDOZA SUBREFRACTOR - 0
SUPERFRACTOR - 0

Perhaps someone who understands the nuances of short-printed autos can explain this to me. I appreciate that base autos would be short, but wouldn't the numbered autos fall at the same rate? Admittedly, I don't know if some of the parallels aren't in play for RC autos.

* EDIT: I've lucked out with Cubs and Yankees autos in Houdini's 2-case breaks, so even if things don't change here, I'm still good.

The problem of "odds" vs. "collation reality" is that if a player is late in delivering their cards, or only makes good on a certain percentage of his print run (ex. player only signs base, ref, colored refractors are delayed/missing/damaged) the math is still correct. But only Topps knows if any given player has their ENTIRE catalog of cards actually pack inserted. There are a few rare anecdotes where a player is only SP'd because all their cards were somehow unable to be packed out. Not by design, just by circumstance.

Sorry. Hope your luck turns around.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the RC autos also skip over ref and purple? Base, then blue and up?

Great post, btw. Cosign everything. Only other thing I would mention is while odds are odds and collation matters, we aren't talking about a HUGE sample size on these cases even though 50 sounds huge. For Rare(r) cards we are still far less than 1% of the print run.

As much as I'd love to think that every player signs their full allocation, I appreciate that it doesn't happen from time to time -- and didn't consider it in advance of my 'vent'. Well worded, though -- thanks, bud.

Let me update my other breaks (nothing else breaks tonight - just need to update) then we can start earlier.

I have no PYT tonight. Just your 50 caser!
