I am conflicted being a Yankee fan I have the Ruth 700 sp but for some reason I can’t get myself to sell it. I sold a heritage black refractor and a topps chrome rookie autograph but I can’t sell the Ruth.

Happy to report that despite the demise of Ohtani yesterday his cards seem to be selling very strongly at near record highs. I just went on 130point today and could not believe some of the very strong sales for base cards such as topps and bowman chrome.

Wanted to post a link to my thread in here. Bought an Ohtani card last night from a seller with 100% feedback. Realized the card in the pictures does not belong to him. Seller won't refund and has since posted another Ohtani that looks just completely bizarre. EBay is saying 1. Has to fail authenticity. 2. Stuck without my money until July 22nd when I can ask for refund 3. EBay seller gets account taken down due to reports

FOMO is real had 20 RC’s on my watchlist no purchases yet last SO bought was 2020. On an unserious note can Adell now protect Ohtani in the lineup … JK!

This is likely not going to be a popular sentiment, but I hope the Angels shut down Ohtani as a pitcher for a couple of weeks so he can properly rest and recover. I just have too much fun watching him hit these bombs, and fly around the bases...the pitching is just a bonus for me.

That's effectively what they will be doing with this all-star break and potentially moving him into the back of the rotation afterwards. But, yes, there's a lot of season left and a healthy Ohtani is better for everyone.

I agree. I had a cracked fingernail a few times(not from pitching) and there's no way that kind of thing heals enough for anything to touch/add friction to it for at least a few weeks. Having the seams of a baseball rub against that(or a blister) as an MLB pitcher probably hurts like hell at a certain point.

As much as I'd love to watch Ohtani pitch in the ASG or do the derby, I'm glad he's opting out of those. I'm sure a much younger Ohtani would have just wanted to play through all of it, but he's gotta put his health in front of him to maximize those future years of play.

Couple more to add to the Gold gem. I think I'm just obsessed with #700 at this point. 5/6 of the base I pulled came back 10s so I'm just going to keep adding what I can. Can't wait to see this guy in person again.
