as for the Tranny, it was probably polished to remove surface scratching. That is borderline conservation i suppose

At 25K per set I would expect all Trannys to be gem 10 w no conservation needed. As far as cards I would consider from this shady seller there is only one. I would buy no matter who is selling.

If you are not watching his youtube shows about collecting, you are missing out. I haven't seen a lot of them yet, but I have a 18 hour drive in front of me Sunday and Monday to get to the National and I am looking forward to dialing up a bunch of them.

I have an Acuna. The surface is scratched to hell. BGS still gave it a 9.5 on the surface (might have been a 10 even, I can’t remember). I think both companies take the natural appearance into consideration. I’m not sure that surface can’t get printed without looking like someone took a fork to it.

These are from the $30,000 "Box" that has been released annually since 2016 (i THINK they were "only" 24K back then lol)

Secondly, any thoughts about long-term value on them? Are they “too” niche for broad appeal? Cool looking cards for sure.

I literally just now realized that card wasn’t auto’d. They’re bringing from $400-$800 on eBay in 9.5-10....wow

Well, as Drogo mentioned, they are very niche. having said that, it is his most limited base RC, being /83

i am a HUGE fan of the Tranny Base Cards as a whole, as they are perfect for player collectors, being pretty limited, and as was also mentioned, they are well made and impressive in person

Has anyone else ran into ebay sellers that give the line of this Acuna Jr card will be worth a fortune in the future so they’re in no hurry to sell and the only counter is pretty elevated? I can’t argue against because I want the best outcome as well in performance at least, but holding cards for ransom is the evil-doing of the Trout dude. Ron is not that guy so let it go in selling lol

Just venting as I’ve seen this about 3 times now this year. I’ve never ran into this before buying Acuna Jr.

I'm more than willing to pay the going rates for his better stuff.

Very hard to find sellers who are willing to sell at his current market. I understand it but it's still frustrating.
