So his cards tanked. Obviously he can't play at 110% every night but brings it when it matters most. Just watch the games or even look at his game logs and see when he pops off vs when he is deferential. Seems simple enough in theory. Last year the narrative was that a bunch of people at the same time were saying they liked Ja's long term outlook better than Zion and his cards pretty much caught up to Z. They dropped to about 50% of Zion's prices before the playoffs began. The same narrative game is happening in football right now. Some people recently started talking about how crazy Justin Herbert's prices are and giving examples of good/great QBs that don't sell for a fraction of him. People then overcorrect and his cards are going down because he was the example given, while Burrow and Tua are going up and getting close to Herbie's prices which are dropping. At the end of the season Burrow was sitting at maybe 60% Herbie comps and Tua was maybe 20-25%. I get that Burrow looks healthyish and Miami didn't draft a QB, but it's because Herbert has been the scapegoat in football for the crazy prices that he's dropping and the other QB's (who are also priced crazy by the same logic) aren't. It's early in the trend and Herbie is probably going to drop even more this offseason, but if he comes out hot in Y2 some dope will find some new narrative and his stuff will spike. When it counts, this kid can ball. I've been very impressed with him. From the "play in game" to this first round: he can flat out play. |

Did this game go into triple overtime?
141-129? was any defense played at all? That is pathetic for a playoff game (even a reg season game), absolutely pathetic. It's hard to take any of these offensive stats seriously |

It's nice to see him not shooting bricks, i'll give you that. High scoring is one thing, 141-129 is all star game level D, it's embarrassing. |

Ja’s buckets are most certainly not cheap. People see “lay up” on ESPN’s game cast and perceive this as an easy uncontested event, never mind that the shot was created by a nasty crossover or series of fakes and then floated over a defender in his face.
The same type of criticism would be directed at Zion from people who clearly never watched him play and would say things like “he can’t create his own shot.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
