Not if they hired Amazon cloud from 11am to 1pm for very little money. You can do that, did you know? More like 11-1120 since it would not have crashed. Cost them some spare change.

Problem solved, if they want it solved.

So looks like Blowout users got 210 confirmed that spoke up. Not bad. I bet we got 1/3 of them at least.

Why would they do that?

Their product will sell regardless, so it's a waste of money. I can't remember an online sneaker release where this exact problem DIDN'T happen.

I don't want that cost passed down to me.

I got 2. Don't know where you started counting. Also, my LCS got 18. Three guys got six, and then the other four guys trying went 0-for.

They definitely spent more time and money fixing the problem, but I understand if you don't understand how on-demand cloud services at super unbusy times [like 11am on a Wed] works.

Amazon'd probably even throw the first time in for free just to get Panini to sign up in case they need it down the road.

Yep, there are plenty of services out there that would have helped this go smoother. You don't see this happen on major retail sites when they know they're going to see high traffic for a short period of time. They prepare for it, plain and simple. Most hosts will gladly give you a little more bandwidth allotment, processing power, etc.. for a short period of time. And that's just the bare minimum of what can be done.

In all likelihood Panini just didn't want to spend the money.

The problem is that IF his 2 boxes sell, then everyone on earth is going to be listing them at 500 a pop believing that is the actual value of the box. It will be interesting to see how many boxes get cancelled and how many actually get delivered.

You apparently know.

Tell me how much it would have cost, and then tell me how it would have benefited me today?

Nike just started getting in that arena recently for their releases. Panini isn't big enough to pay to do that. This is a once or twice a year thing for them.

i'm not sure why I keep refreshing on the app....but i was able to get 3 single orders since 13:27 CST with my last order being 14:18 CST.

so if people feel defeated...just keep trying if you have the time!

I was gonna open mine as it's a cost vs value thing. Most stores will be at $225 a box + on opening day. I'll be doing lots of retail on this product.

I ended up with 6 after trying for 3 hours.

Edit: I received a confirmation email and the order shows up in my account. Is that confirmed?

So your thinking is since the product will sell regardless lets make the customer buying experience a nightmare??

Be curious to see how this goes. Especially with the one offs being scooped here recently while myself and others have pending orders (not processing) from a few hours ago.
