this might be a stupid question,
but are all 2017 prizms numbered parallel mahomes more valuable than the base/silver mahomes , assuming all are psa 10s . and if they arent, should they be?

there are some other players where their numbered parallels are going for less than the base, but i see mahomes as the standard and i feel like what ive found is the numbered ones are all worth more.

Any reason why the 2017 Limited RPA seems reasonably priced? It's on card, RC shield, overall a pretty clean card.

I'm not sure if it's the reason but they do chip really easily. Grades are tough on them.

It's a strange phenomenon for sure. Others can correct me, but silver PSA 10s are going for 6k. I could see orange /275, light blue /199 and blue wave /149 PSA 10s going for around that price.

However, NONE of those have sold on ebay since the recent run up (and the only ones listed are a light blue at $13,999 obo and blue wave at $10,999 obo.

The only confirmed sales on ebay of numbered prizm recently are 2 x Scope /99 PSA 10 at $9,000 each.

So, bottom line, Silver is definitely disproportionately valued, but I get why (class, basic, desirable).

Just my two cents.

Always seems to be a lag effect on the numbered/SP parallels for prizm (and optic). Once a new baseline is set on the silver and stabilizes, you see a steady increase in the numbered parallels that eventually surpasses the silver's pricing and settles back in at a nice premium. This lag often provides nice buying opportunities on the numbered parallels...

The one I just purchased and you see scanned above is the true Galactic parallel. It has the big stars on the background and says galactic on the back. However in 2018 they put Galactic on the back of the regular cards as well, which looks more dotted and sparkly.

The one shown above is the super tough parallel that you would want and is very popular in Basketball

Blue Wave /149 used to go for 2x-3x a Silver... Its crazy how much silvers have gone up compared to the low serial numbered versions of same card!
