Since the last few pages we have been talking legos, if anyone picks up any the 80s/90s Castle lego sets, parts, pieces. Let me know. I would be interested in them!

I’d the lot I get has noticeable ones I’ll reach out. I imagine it’s just bins loaded, all mixed, so getting those specific ones would be tough. I’ll keep you in mind though when I see what I get.

I've never cleaned them. Seems like a waste of time to me put you could always just throw them in a plastic tote, fill it up with water, drain it, and let the pieces dry.

That was my only thought. Hahaha. Maybe people don’t really care, I just see a lot of eBay ads referring clean legos and I think even washed.

That really is amazing, I'd never even think about picking up Christmas ornaments to flip. I'll have to keep an eye out in the future.

Probably just saying that to play on the minds of some buyers possibly are not actually cleaned at all.

My kid’s play-center used to wash their (big) Lego regularly. Over time it bleached the heck out of the color of the blocks.
No idea how they did it. Thought it was a dishwasher, but it would have to be in a mesh bag or something? Otherwise just the sink?

Wouldn't putting them in the dishwasher mess them up from the heat? I have plastic stuff that can't go in there because it would warp or melt. I'm not "lego knowledgeable" so I'm just curious.

Nah those things are indestructible. They need direct heat to actually melt. But they’re probably just usually soaked in cold bleach water for a little bit then rinsed off and dried.

It’s loud and probably a bad idea to do but you could dump legos in a dryer and turn it on high and they wouldn’t melt. They might get brittle.

Here’s the loot. Seems to be already separated by color a little based on the little digging I did.

Found about 6 sales this morning. Made some nice buys. Some were desperation sales.

The desperation sale was a house that had been foreclosed and the previous owner abandoned it. The new owners were selling everything inside for cheap. Got alot of stuff that should net around 250 to 300 between Ebay and flea market for 5.00. Another sale picked up a big box of random Legos and some N64 and Xbone games for 5.00. So a good morning out and about.

So the Halo action figures I asked about yesterday. Must have been something good in there because they sold immediately for $25. I’m happy

Hot a garage sale yesterday. First in forever. Picked up a few items. Most interesting are a leather Vespa bag from Italy and a USAF T-38 training model used for instruction / combat training. They seem to sell for quite a bit.

Good to be back out hunting.

There were 4 sales in my area today. One was at a local auction house. I was allowed into a separate building they had in the back and it was full of old, dusty stuff. I found 3 large boxes of old copper printing plates. I looked through the top of one box and it was all agricultural stuff. Bought all the printing plates, along with several other nice items for $100. When I got them home and started going through them, it appears to be the plates they used to print the 1932 Condon Bros. Seed Catalog. I figured out the age, because there was one plate/ad for a candidate for Governor of Illinois. A Google search revealed that he ran for Governor in 1932.

I researched the company, and they were a pretty big deal in Rockford Illinois. Their building is registered as a National Historical Landmark. I have a feeling I did really well on this, but have no idea what the best way to list/sell them would be. There are hundreds of these plates. All different sizes, from 1/2" all the way up to full page size. Just a wild guess, but I suspect there is a couple hundred pounds of copper there alone. Sell them in singles? Lots? Try to sell them all together? Anybody have any ideas?

Drove to KC yesterday to celebrate (social distancing) for my grandma’s birthday and Mother’s Day. Stopped at one thrift store (not in the Kansas City counties) and found a brand new genuine Brother toner for $4. I think I can get $50 for it. In the actual county that Kansas City is located and the county one over, there was only one thrift company open. I have never seen so much donations. Didn’t find anything despite the amount of inventory as the prices were extremely high (the place has always been high though). I also hit a garage sale. Didn’t find anything but was happy to go to a garage sale. They have been popping up and hopefully there will be more this week. Our usual city wide one we hit every year was supposed to be this week but they are postponed.

I listed 8 of the items I purchased at yard sales yesterday last night and have sold 7 of them for about a 190.00 profit. Very happy with this weekend still got several items to get listed from that stuff. Plus today went by my honey hole and she was open. So loaded up the back of the SUV for 15.00

Everything is still mostly closed. It’s online or no shopping for a lot of people.

Very true! Listed 12 Video games and they sold within 20 minutes! I just can't wait for yard sales to reopen.

Most of my items are going into states that have begun reopening. Had a near record 2 weeks at the flea market too

The game market is all over the place right now. But anything that’s fun to play is selling well because people have time to play.

Does anybody know how to sell multiple of the exact same item? Do you have to have an eBay store to do so? I picked up a giant bundle of vehicle window stickers today. Lots and lots of dupes. Thank you.
