It was on the level above 3K with less than a minute left when it shut off for me. The timer still had 5 minutes remaining overall for the 3K level. If they did shut it down the very second it hit 3K, that's misleading.

The fine print said things were subject to change, so who knows... I don't know if anyone got boxes at 3K or not...

The thing I don't like is it seems obvious to me that these cards were signed for Panini Instant, and then they changed course and then decided to box them up after the fact.

If and when the backs of the cards say Panini Instant on them, it's extremely shady on Paninis part. Considering they didn't tell customers that these are Instant cards, which hurts the value quite a bit. If everything is on the up and up, they should all say Rookie Royalty on the back.

In the IG reel they posted the Immaculate box that the cards came in clearly said Instant on them. Strange at best, extremely shady at worst.

I would fall over laughing if all the cards say Panini Instant on the back.

Not pictured is steals and blocks through 13 games. CC averaged 1.4 steals/0.9 blocks, while PB is averaging 1.8 steals/0.9 blocks. This is not exactly David vs Goliath here.
Paige is also averaging more points and better FG/3PT/FT% across the board compared to CC this season.

Never contended she isn't good and can't be great, if not a potential future HOFer.

But as time has continually taught us, it isn't always about the sheer numbers - but how you get there.

CC is revolutionizing the game. I don't know if I see anything revolutionary in Paige's game, hence the Sabrina comp. And I don't know if PB brings anything to the table that would attract new crossover viewership blood the same way Clark has. Right now the disparity in viewership statistics are staggering.

Kind of like how AI will forever live on in infamy over a guy like Wade, who was far more successful and decorated.

Looks like Panini Instant and not Panini "Rookie Royalty" to me....

Caitlin's Nike shoes sold out in less than 1 minute.

It was a 10 minute draw (Nike version of EQL) on SNKRS

Slight tangent if that's OK -- opinions on Angel's upside as a player and in terms of cards? Is it worth picking up a decent RC at what seem to be fairly low prices?

No slight to Angel as a person, but only buy if you genuinely like her and have no concerns about your investment.

It only takes watching one full game to realize she's Rodman with offensive motors skills of any random dude during a halftime fan challenge.

Like it's almost inconceivable a pro WNBA player can be that wildly uncoordinated.

Reminds me of my days handing the ball off to my girlfriends when they wanted to tag along during a shootaround. Adorable, but painful to watch.

Interesting analogy. She looked good on highlights yesterday but maybe that was not representative.

Even a clock is right twice a day.

There's really no upside prospecting her unless you figure her modeling/IG side will make her suddenly attractive to people who have no interest in cards.

She has year 15 westbrook shot IQ with year 15 Andre Drummond ball skills.

If you look at her HS highlight reel vids, she actually looked like a legit 3-level scorer (even if her 3 was always suspect) with handle, so how she's been reduced to pretty much a rebound-first player that scores primarily via cleanup shots is beyond me. She obviously didn't put much emphasis on refining and improving her offensive game, that's for sure.

It’s partially that, but also it’s because she was bigger than everyone in high school and in college she had a surrounding cast that hid her flaws well. Now that she’s in the league with pros and no longer the biggest person on the floor, in addition to a weak team around her, her flaws are being more and more exposed.

I mean I would if the prices are attractive. Hobby is fickle and I don't think she's in that prospecting phase anymore anyways. So it's a do you feel it's a good buy sort-of thing. It's hard for anyone to say tbh when hundreds are invested on NBA talent who's ceiling is BJ Armstrong or Brad Daugherty

There's a good book coming out next month about her - the author made an appropriate comparison - likening this to the 1999 USWNT for soccer.
Did you get one? What did they sell out at?

No announcement yet, but it looks very unlikely CC is playing in the Commissioner Cup against the Lynx today.
The WNBA ad shows Boston and Collier while the official Fever poster shows Boston and Mitchel.
You can bet CC would all over the advertising for this game if there was even a small chance she would play.

Anything is possible, but I'm saying Lynx by 22.

WNBA players voted her NINTH among guards for the all star team. Unreal.

Hey now, those CC Instant Draft Night autos aren't too shabby!

As I said previously the league is here to stay CC or not
I respectfully disagree with your take

the WNBA needs CC more than CC needs the WNBA

Just look at the ticket prices or ratings when she doesn't play...

Latest update on CC playing is that it's a game time decision (as per Stephanie White).

Unless they are being disingenuous about what her injury really is I don't see her being ready to play. A groin injury isn't going to be fully healed in under a week and if they play her before its healed there's a big risk of aggravating it and making it worse.

I really want to see her play, but not at the risk of her getting even more injured.

=============================================================

Edit: Literally minutes after I posted the above update the Fever announced Caitlin is officially out for this game. It feels like they knew all along and were just stringing fans along with "hope" she might still play.
They went from questionable to game time decision to definitely out in a matter of hours.

There was a poll on a watch party last Fever game and most people suspected out 3 weeks for whatever that is worth. That's what I think too. Though this coach doesn't seem to care and may put her back in too soon - I think her current injury even stems from being put in at the end of the Liberty game when they were up by a lot with a couple minutes remaining in the game and CC was observed limping off the court at the end.

Clark fans have suggested that the lack of protection for the Fever sharpshooter could lead her toward building her own professional basketball league. Christine Brennan, the author of "On Her Game: Caitlin Clark and the Revolution in Women’s Sports," talked about the potential of that happening in an interview on ESPN Los Angeles last week.

"Nike loves her. She’s got Wilson, obviously. She’s got Gatorade," she said, via the New York Post. "Even though the salary’s $76,000 for a rookie — it’s more this year now — she’s making $28 million from Nike alone, according to the Wall Street Journal. So she’s at $40 million, whatever. OK, fine, she’s doing great. And if Nike said, ‘We’re going to make the Nike-Clark league,’ it would obviously take a few years to get the arenas and whatever.
