4th person i have talked to who says GTS has cut....

instead of selling for 65-70-75 whatever.. they are holding to sell at 110-120

Does not get much more simple then this

Yeah its kinda becoming a joke, but I do know there are alot of big buyers and the online breakers they buy alot as well.

There's two sides here - i mean did the poster who ordered 12 cases of the best release this year also order 12 cases of everything else? I mean if everyone said "pass on topps series 1, pass on GQ, pass on tek, pass on blah blah blah but hey i want 12 cases of bowman jumbo oh and now that ohtani is on the checklist let's add 5 cases of heritage two weeks out from release."

Not saying the poster did this but let's be real - there are some distribs who play games and don't deliver but sometimes it's just a fair allocation too.

Same situation i am in... i'm getting offered 30-40% this year compared to last 7 years....

When Firehands just opened 74th case of NT baseball and platinum opened 68th case of five star... Layton i saw opened 100 cases 1 week in january...

Dist dont care ....

I thought the hobby was dying

I ordered the Bowman & Heritage last fall and did not add anything 2 weeks out etc.
So far this year and last year I ordered:
2018 Series 1 - 10 cases
2017 Series 1 - 8 cases
2017 Series 2 - 6 cases
2017 UPDATE - 8 Cases
2017 Bowman Chrome - 10 Cases
2017 Bowman Draft - 12 Cases
2017 Heritage High # - 8 Cases
2017 Heritage Minor League - 8 Cases
2017 Allen & Ginter - 5 Cases
2017 Gypsy Queen - 3 Cases
2017 Bowman's Best - 3 Cases

So do I cherry pick, some might think so...But I do for the most part preorder everything and pick up random cases here and there.

That's how its been working on the popular stuff. If you order 12 of everything you'll most likely get 12 of the good stuff too.

NOW, here's the beef: WHY WAIT AROUND FOR OVER TWO MONTHS TO TELL YOUR CUSTOMER YOU'RE GETTING CUT? How convenient after an Ohtani announcement & a major hike in pricing. If this stuff sat at 900.00 a case everybody would have been filled.

The price differences between PSA and BGS for Heritage is bigger than other products.

As Festus said, why wait til now to do the cut? that's the really bad part.

Because GTS saw the checklist and how the market on these was going and decided to cut orders.

If they can elbow the other clectors out of the way. I see Target reps being accosted in the parking lots. And Target stores that put boxes out before the rep gets their will have empty boxes for the reps!

But if I get any, I will rip them FURIOUSLY!

I own a construction materials distribution business in the NYC market. We specialize in commodity based products (Rebar, Lumber Etc.) I know for a fact that if I did this to my customers we would find ourself in court and lose our reputation in our market.

I have never met the rep from GTS, I preorder everything for the most part now through my LCS.
