The commons would sell verrry slowly and probably get you very little profit (wouldn't be able to get more than 50-75 cents each probably). Any card of a fan favorite and/or star you might do good with, but then you'd be left with all the commons. If you have a complete set like that, you'd probably do better selling them as a set on eBay.

Comc has been such an extreme let down. 3 months have gone by since I submitted thousands of cards. Date gets pushed back daily. About 4000 out of 5000 were submitted 3 week guarantee.

I'll be holding my breath, just like for my current year that was due 9/4 that's "two weeks out"

Thanks for the response.

I emailed them but got a pretty generic response....we understand your shipping date is past due, sorry for the delay, etc...possibly a bot response.

Who knows when the order will ship. I don’t understand how they can be so far behind on the economy shipping (not referring to the 3 months, but referring to time after the expected shipment date), and yet the other modes of shipping seem to be on track...as long as you pay that extra $ or it’s eBay. If you don’t fork over the extra $, you will be waiting a very long time to get your cards, and the expected shipping date apparently doesn’t mean anything even after that long time.

Been buying on Comc for years....I have no interest in buying more on that site with all this.

So even the 3 week guarantee is flawed and useless now? They should really cease taking submissions and catch up, but what do they care?

I submitted 300+ cards in May and they're telling me they'll be processed in mid-November - of course when I contacted them at the end of August they told me it would be processed in full by the beginning of October....

ive had decent luck on random parallel sets in the past 92 Topps Gold Baseball, 92 Leaf Black Gold Baseball, 1996 Select Certified Red Football...

yeah, it wouldn't be quick, but I don't suggest paying a premium to get them on to the site, because being a 'long term flip' you are likely going to sell a couple the first month, but after 3 months you are going to be paying storage fees of $0.01 for anything listed about $0.75...if you are paying $0.50 for the processing and selling for $0.75, you are now looking at $0.2125 per card after just 'initial fees' go to cash out, you are around $0.19...then you factor your actual shipping cost per card (probably $0.02 to $0.04 based on submission size), you are around $0.16...then what was the cost to acquire the card?

with the current backlog, I would suggest trying the multi-variation listing on eBay...itll take time to set up, but you can list the full set as singles, the low cost guys at $0.99, the stars at whatever...if you have Football the 04 and 05 are pretty good because of the RCs in there, if its Baseball, not so sure...charge your normal shipping $3-$4 and go that route...

Stuff like that is going to trickle out very, very slowly. I'd be inclined to wait until COMC is caught up with processing and shipping (if that day ever arrives). When they allow basic processing again, that's when I would consider sending them in.

At the present time, I don't think I would send in anything under $5 or so, and even then I would probably wait until they're caught up.

The sort of card you're talking about is likely to sell a few here and a few there to team collectors or set collectors or people who collect an obscure player here and there. These are the sort of people who might, under ordinary circumstances, have 100 cards shipped at once.

At the present time, COMC is more set up to ship out a handful of expensive cards, or a stack of eBay purchases, than a stack of lower-value items.

Also, as mentioned by others, the storage fees are likely to be an issue. If you sell 1% of your cards per month, and you are paying 1 cent storage on the unsold cards, then for each card you sell, you're paying about $1 in storage fees.

A larger account that pays $50 per month can price a card up to $2.50 without paying a storage fee. So it might make sense for a larger seller to send in a few thousand $1 to $2 cards and wait years for them to sell. If you have a free account, it will be frustrating to pay $500 in processing fees and $10 per month in storage fees to support $20 per month in sales.

As a buyer I hate this. I pay $1.03 (what it cost to get to me) for a card that a seller prices at $.75 card and the seller just gets $.16. I really would love to pay.25 plus shipping for cards like that Then the seller and myself both would be happen. Real hard to find a place like that to buy from.

From a seller standpoint, it would make sense to sell a lot of 100 similar cards for something like $20 and probably net about the same 16 cents. But it is unlikely that the buyer would be getting 100 cards that they actually want.

From the buyer's perspective, it might make sense to buy the lot of 100 if there were 20 cards they would be willing to pay $1 each for.

This is particularly true if the buyer is then willing to bundle the 80 cards they don't want maybe with 20 cards from another lot and then sell that for $20. But they would have to view this as part of their hobby. From a financial perspective, it would make much more sense to get a part time job at McDonald's.

Have you tried Sportlots? I buy all kinds of stuff on there at .18 per card plus shipping.

Yes I have done Sportlots. 42 orders with over 60 sellers. At this point with them I'm only finding a few cards and now I'm making a list of cards and sellers for my next purchase to insure the most cards for the best price. I do not want to buy one card at a time there.

Over the years I have joined over 25 trading sites. It appears I run them out of cards that I need/can afford. Some sites are another story.

I have the issue is like a lot of others. My PC (only buying cards for it) is very narrow in the world of card collecting. Even though I need over 19,000 cards. You take away the high dollar cards and 1/1s it is lot smaller. Dealers and other sellers just will not look and pull cards I need as to them it is not worth their time. I do understand it. It is the way the hobby works for most part now days. It is hard for sellers to get their goods out there with out using some platform (COMC, Becket, Sportlots or E-bay) which rises their cost.

I'm very happy when I find someone with a lot of cards I need. I'm taking 6 or 7 cards. I even purchased cards in bulk (players I need) just hoping to get a few I needed. That allows the seller just pull all the player X that he has and not having to match what I need. After getting over 6500 extra cards I stopped doing that. May start again for a few players. I even have purchased some small sets just to get one or two cards that was in the set.

Almost half my most recent sales have been through eBay. I think the ridiculously slow shipping is hurting sales from users. But I’m not complaining. Happy to be moving as many as I can before everything gets uploaded and then I just try to sell out.

They were referring to the website being slow / not working.

If COMC is losing money - it would be due to mis-management. Not from lack of income. They are doing over 40,000 transactions per month just on eBay. COMC should be (and most likely is) making money hand-over-fist right now.

If I looked at it right their Item numbers have gone over 84 million. I remember when it was a big deal when they hit a couple of millions. Also the processing fee was $.00 for your 1st shipment. They have had to made a lot of money to process, store and shipp these kind of numbers.

Would be nice to know how many items have been shipped out of the site

COMC blew past my scheduled shipping date (which was three months after I requested shipment). I DM'ed them on Twitter and they got back to me and shipped out all my cards the next day. Now I can close out my account and forget they exist. Thanks COMC!

Currently I have around 1000 cards For Sale, and around 6000 NFS

Bizarre thing just happened...I was pricing cards and I priced a card for $5.70 and a flipper bought it within seconds and priced it at $2.74....couldn't have been a an accident that he meant to price it at $27.40 because that card would never be priced that high and his other prices are in line.

That is weird. Did you buy it back and relist it?

Still seems to be 1 month delay in opening Mailbox submissions.

It can be anxious 1 month wait if you have ordered expensive cards :S

I have one delivered 17th Sept, with no submission photo/email yet. Another on it's way.

I wish this was a bit quicker to rectify any potential issues. I wouldn't mind them opening it the day of arrival and then delaying it 1 month for processing.

95% of my current year batch was processed overnight. Original due date was 7/15.

I duplicate my selling numbers in my sheet to see my real sales and profits since I'm selling on comc, today I found out something so ridiculous.

As I have a few sale price ranges for my cards I noticed that I have received 1 cent less for some cards in comc than I have duplicated it in the sheets . So and I started to investigate where I have made a mistake but the thing is that I haven't made any mistakes. All of my sales history in COMC is different all of a sudden than my sales dating back from starting of 5% transaction fee.

The thing I figured out is that from start at this October COMC is rounding up their side of the fee for all transactions no matter it's 0.002 or 0.008. Before it was round up if 0.005 or round down if 0.004.

If you have some older downloads from sales history please check out, compare some numbers and post it here what you have found. It won't work if you download sales history now because sales history is altered and you won't find any differences.

I dug as deep as last April and it's impossible that I have duplicated my numbers 1 cent more than I have gained for a hundred of cards and duplicated them right starting this October.
