I haven't done a ton of Top Shot, but I did get a pack today. Nothing crazy, the Jrue Holiday Cool Cats was the top card. Pack had a Ja layup and Kawhi fadeaway as well, but those are only $9 cards. I'm sure I am late to the party with Top Shot, but I think it is going to be around for awhile. I'm not holding anything unless its super low print though and even then, I'll probably sell.

I havent gotten a pack that wasn't guaranteed since cc2 , but im not going to constantly keep threatening to take my ball and go home after every unsuccessful attempt.. just go.. or stay.. whatever, just do something!

I'm already dreading the day when they start complaining about their Z15 horse not winning a race in a week..

Yes the Dwight is to 35k. I usually sell the moments I don't want want or care for and pick up hawks moments. So I have a dozen moments with my dapper balance over $400(I'm eligible to withdraw my funds) all on an initial buy-in of $14. I've certainly had fun with it so far.

All the cool cat 2 moments were worth over $800 at one point during the challenge so if you held onto them long enough that would do it.

Thanks, I was finally able to go through on the 5th try. Used a diff angle for the selfie and passport instead of driver’s license. That did the trick.

Right now, I have spent $23 on Top Shot (pack everyone gets and yesterdays Cool Cats) and I have $112.50 in my Dapper balance, so not too shabby!

I put $15 into TopShot early on, bought a $9 pack. Since then I have not added a penny of my own money.

Already cashed out $500. Still have $1k in dapper and over $750 in Moments.

Definitely money to be made here. Even so I still don't see this as a long term profit, moments I would move early on for $200+ are only going for $30 now. Overall it seems mid-level moment prices are way down.

Good news is, no more $1 moments, the low end has a bit of a jump going on which is great to see.

I have $18 from my credit card - turned into a bit over $1,000 in dapper and 17 moments. I also lost $1,000 dollars on the durant challenge so should have $2,000 dapper.

I am thinking about completing this challenge and wasting $250 in monopoly money. If they ever have a drop that requires a completed challenge, it may be worth it. Anyone else thinking about completing this Cool Cats challenge just to have the challenge on TopShot's record?

I have had this thought for sure, but I kind of think they'll throw out an even cheaper challenge at some point before implementing something like this. Sub-$100 even. Could be wrong of course.

If I had the money in dapper I would do it. Might move some moments around to make it work at some point. People get so mad about challenges being negative EV but if you look at it for what it is (a gamble at possibly getting a top serial number) it's really not a big deal to be -EV. Gambling is supposed to be -EV.

I think a lot of people have done this and it's probably why the Conley challenge was way more expensive than it should have been.

Depending on when you get into this CC4 challenge it might not be too bad with the CC master challenge likely right behind it. The reward and the new CC's will have utility post challenge unlike most challenges.

At the current prices, assuming you didn't get any in a pack or grabbed any when they were being unloaded for cheap you could expect to lose around $70 after the challenge.

Challenges just seem to be a way to prop up pricing.

Sure, some of the early rare cards may hold strong but I can't see chasing challenges.

To each their own, I'll build my small collection, make a few bucks in the process, and if it all falls apart will remain in the black.
