Flagg topps rookies are now 2 for $5, less than two weeks into release. Rainbow foils less than $40.
Wha happened? |

This is still fun to rip in retail. I was able to find some Hangers and Blasters at Barnes and Noble last weekend. Which is good because they STOPPED giving the 10% off as of today.
The Hobby/ Jumbo box breaking is slowing down, but I can still jump into smaller volume breaks 3-4 boxes at a time. I am still picking up some of the Fanatics blasters, looking for numbered inserts (black parallels) and actually hoping some of this years rookies end up in the very cheap "idc" piles at local shows. It is fun just picking up paper VJ, Harper, Coward, "meh" in terms of value at reasonable prices. I pulled a wood insert, a team logo insert, a couple of autos, 1 mem card, like the diamante insert look, in about $240 worth of retail so far. I am happy with the release. I will probably spend another $350 in retail. I have half of my Hobby /Jumbo allocation left. But will eventually sell it off, like the other half. Last edited by jjcan; 11-05-2025 at 12:50 PM. |

Ditto. I picked up 2 hobby cases and 6 loose boxes on fanatics with a coupon yesterday. I’ll probably rip the loosies. Side note the real one gold auto set looks like it might be a fun chase. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

However, when you produce the amount of cards like they have, every single basketball card collector can own 10 copies for minimum cost if they want. Hobby/jumbo wax at current prices is completely manipulated towards the breaker culture. Don’t fall for the collusion. Buy singles. |

You sound like the Pokemon You tube MSRP gang. It will be MSRP soon enough, lol, and everyone can Buy it!
Diamond hands do not pay Market!! Wait till it gets to $90! should be the Mantra It will be NBA 2026 class by the time this hits $130 a box, and if any of these 2025 rookies do not hit. Ebay is at $180-$200. I sold some of my hobby on Saturday from $190-$210 |

But a hobby box break is GARBAGE. 80% of the time you are getting a common jersey. The best base rookie you get is $3. You are paying $200 for 1-2 serial numbered cards? You guys are putting too much faith in the compulsive gambling breaker culture. The one situation where I see this product not dipping too low is if Topps does not release another basketball card product for the next three months. Even idle hands will gamble on garbage. |

I opened 3 Fanatics blasters today.
Best cards were a Chef Curry Fanatics Exclusive logo parallel and a Harrison Ingram sticker auto 1 hobby and 3 blasters and I can say I've scratched the itch on this product. Oofa |

I opened many cases of the last Topps Basketball release as well and loved every second of it. The only minor problem back then was that I was stacking my Tyler Hansbrough cards. No other player mattered to me. Oops. |
