There is a lot of tracking info on the thread for Ultra Modern Bulk subs right now, but many of us have Modern subs and up-to-date info would be really valuable.

I've got 2 big Bulk Subs (Vintage and Modern) of about 350 cards each logged 04/13/21 in Grading since November. Hoping to hit Assembly in 2-4 weeks...

I have 5 bulk modern orders around 600 cards logged/entered a week before yours that's been in grading since end of October. Will update when they hit Assembly. Had one UM order that was sent the same time as the 5 moderns and that order hit Assembly this past Monday.

Sorry, should have quoted my earlier post. USPS delivered Jan 20 2021, entered March 19 2021. Research and ID should've been extremely simple FWIW (no complicated Tiffany or obscure parallels, nothing that was a new spec, etc)

Looks like PSA is starting to backup…I have a regular sub and a economy sub that have been sitting in arrival stage for the past 5 days…typically I’ve observed that it would be entered in 1-2 days after arrival…hoping PSA sticks to the 3 months or less statement they made on all submissions…I have a ultra modern that is still in research & ID after 11 months lol

Starting!!!! They are backed up from the backlog and it was only a matte4 of time before they began to slow down again. They had fast service early to give the appearance of having it worked out. It will get worse!

Got it.
Thanks.

Lol well I knew the bulk was backed up…I was more or less referring to regular and above…they’ve been pretty good wit those levels and exceeded expectations in some cases.

Awesome info --- thanks for the reply, and for the others that chipped in with great info as well.

Looks like Bulk Modern (and I presume Bulk Vintage) is lagging UM a bit right now, but hopefully not by too very much.

Good luck to all of us out there who have orders on the verge!

Maybe so, but when you have group orders over 13 weeks In Assembly have they really improved? They are skipping people to give the appearance of improving. The fact they don’t have a FIFO system with regular/or dealer economy says everything about this company.

I can only speak on my last 6 subs of express and regular…they’ve met or exceeded my timeframe expectations so I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt until they prove me wrong lol.

Didn't you convert to SGC?? or CGS.. You are getting real trite on this thread. All my massive March bulks have been graded and delivered. Just 1 left entered on 4/18. Cheers to PSA for getting stuff done.

You guys have to remember that Modern Bulk is supposed to be slower. You have all sorts of cards that require extra attention to ensure they are real. Especially for those rubies, ultra platinum, Row 0 Legacy, etc. etc. etc. All these cards, back doored Fleer cards, too.

I mean it's a lot to ensure that the card is real. So, you can't really just pluck a guy off the street and ask them to authenticate these cards. You gotta have some kind of experience with cards.

For ultra modern, it's easy. No one is faking a Lamelo prizm silver (or maybe they are! lol).

Anyway, that's why Modern is slow as heck!

There’s a reason for everything. Some people just want to complain about everything. Orders with cards that have not previously been indexed take longer to go through Research. Orders with mixed types of cards (e.g vintage, TCG, and UM) take longer to go through Grading. Orders with various card sizes or stock take longer to go through Assembly. Orders with cards that look like they need upcharges but don’t have APR data take longer to get through QA2.

I think it would be helpful if PSA did an FAQ for why stages take variable amounts of time, even at the same service level.

When this submission is done there will not be a single post in any PSA THREAD. Glad your stuff is done! That is good! Mine is not and yes I will be using other service, as I already have been.

I have a Modern Bulk sub that I shipped the end of 2020, was entered 3/4/21, went to grading in October, assembly in mid January and is currently in QA2. It was quite a mix of some newer stuff including thick GU cards, 90's items, 1/1's and even a non sport auto. I thought it would be in assembly for a long time but it should pop this week.

I'm just glad they're finally starting to creep up on mine. Bulk Modern entered on 04/06, and Bulk TCG entered on 05/10. The TCG still hasn't moved on from R&ID but I'd imagine it should be soon. Good to see all the March orders starting to pop on Modern... let's get to early April!

My 3/22 entered bulk modern (arrived at PSA on 1/22) is still in grading, for those above.

Thanks a lot Debbie Downer.....jk
Mine was entered 4/1 still in grading.
I think it's more of an exponential curve the closer they get to the end because so many were entered
The other submission above was entered four weeks before mine and went to Assembly in mid January, so I think I am looking at mid March as opposed to going to assembly four weeks behind him.

I don't know that I agree with this. How many licensed Michael Jordan cards were there in 1990 for instance? 15-20?
How many different LaMelo Ball cards are there in Select alone this year? 50-100?
As the 90s wore on there were more and more sets and inserts and numbered cards, but nothing like what we have today

Does anyone happen to know if label correction requests cause delays in assembly. I think my stuff was checked in by a newer employee that mistakenly changed some stuff. One of my other orders has lapped the one with the mistakes. Thanks

FWIW, I have a 70 card Bulk Modern Entered on 3/16/21, and it is still in Grading. I have another 65 Bulk Modern Entered on 4/19/21, but I have left instructions with my heirs on what to do with that one, as I have given up hope of seeing those grades in my lifetime.

For what it's worth, the Jordan PSA master set lists 56 from 1990. Many are from Nike, McDonalds, Starting Lineup, magazine inserts, etc., much of which would not be too difficult to counterfeit. It's stuff like that that gums up Modern.

PSA President Kevin Lenane was on Card Ladder's podcast yesterday, and said they hope to be completely caught up with the backlog by September/October of this year.
