In our old house, they were in the storage room in the basement and unseen. Now, they are in my closet and he saw some of them and started asking to put them together. So far, so good as the ones we did last weekend are still together and not in pieces all over the house. That was what I was afraid of.

Why, oh why, did the Orioles have to move their fanfest up from January to December? Now it looks like it will probably be on the same weekend as the Pirates and I can only choose one.

So this lady offered up like 100 "R&B records from the 70's/80's/90's" for free and I grabbed them today. A lot of the best records had no record inside (though the sleeves are cool) but it had the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack so I've had Axel F stuck in my head all day. Had a few Snoop and Big Daddy Kane records as well, and like 6 cool Holiday ones.

Nope! I called the post office this morning and they found the package. Apparently my Step Daughter was parked close to the mailbox (not blocking it) but the lazy postal employee couldn't get out of her vehicle to deliver the mail and instead skipped our house.

So after getting the 5 Topps Valor Parallels I was waiting for, my project looks like this

Haves

Speed: 10, 37, 62, 175
Strength: 21, 63, 92, 111, 165, 175, 182, 191, 193
Discipline: 32, 83, 174
Courage: 37, 112, 144, 175, 182
Glory: 194

22 of 1200 parallel cards in hand

I need to add the 3 I have waiting in my COMC cart, but theres a few sets I want to complete and I need more money from challenges before I ship everything

I don't get what any of this means! Is it like speed is /500, strength is /250, etc.? Not exact numbering, just the general idea.

Speeds aren't numbered. I dont know what youre confused about and that confuses me. lol.

The general Idea is to put together one of each parallel set (Speed-Valor)

Cards are numbered as follows

Strength /499
Courage /399
Discipline /299
Glory /199
Valor /99

So ive listed what I have. As for the COMC part, ive bought a few random cards in the past from sets I never finished. Newly discovered cards and stuff.

Lack of challenges available has put a hold on that though

Also, I like this set (2014 Valor) so much I may even do more once I get further in. Maybe a binder full of Giants cards

Or even try to obtain as many Giants numbered cards as possible

In 2013, there were an estimated 584,000 deaths and 198 million clinical illnesses due to malaria, the majority in sub-Saharan Africa.

Vaccines would be the ideal addition to the existing armamentarium of anti-malaria tools.

However, malaria is caused by parasites, and parasites are much more complex in terms of their biology than the viruses and bacteria for which we have vaccines, passing through multiple stages of development in the human host, each stage expressing hundreds of unique antigens.

This complexity makes it more difficult to develop a vaccine for parasites than for parasites and bacteria, since an immune response targeting one stage may not offer protection against a later stage, because different antigens are the targets of protective immunity at different stages.

Furthermore, depending on the life cycle stage and whether the parasite is extra- or intra-cellular , antibody and/or cellular immune responses provide protection.

It is thus not surprising that there is no vaccine on the market for prevention of malaria, or any human parasitic infection.

In fact, no vaccine for any disease with this breadth of targets and immune responses exists.

In this limited review, we focus on four approaches to malaria vaccines:
