While the 1988 red parallel auto auto redemption I received last week has his more chopped down sig (compared to his earlier years), I'm happy to report the sig was streak-free.

I remember this subject coming up in another group that I'm in, and one person claimed to have seen at least one of the base autos that is also a Kanji signature.

2018 Stadium Club Auto has the full signature as well.

I think he's talking about the full signature with the 8-notch (or knot) and closed loop. Not the squiggly post TJ stuff.

Earlier today, I downloaded a purchase history of my COMC account and diverted from my original task to look at my Ohtani history.

Probably mentioned already, but he is making a case for MVP just based on his bat. Lots of Top 10's, or leading in the various offsensive categories.

I’ve seen a lot of Ruth-to-Ohtani companions, but has anyone ever taken a close look at how he stacks up to John Montgomery Ward?

Obviously, Ohtani has more power. However, Ward led his league in saves, WAR for position players, wins (47), saves a few times, shutouts, Ks, has two rings, and over 500 SBs (including leading league and over 100 one season).

I’m just wondering if anyone went back this far to make the batter and pitcher comparison. Obviously a different game back then - but Ohtani doesn’t have a 40-win season or a 100-SB season.

I’m asking the experts what that comparison looks like - that’s all.

I have 17 at PSA currently all in grading. Once had over 60 and have made some significant money on the low end 10’s.

A very American-centric viewpoint. True rookie and Japanese rookie is 2013 BBM. US Rookie is 2018. Oh and Nagashima are great examples of world class baseball players that never played in the MLB but had a a significant impact on the sport.
