Just amazes me what the expectations are for these boxes. A buyer opens 23 boxes and is upset about only hitting 5 autos, one of which is a base Ohtani! My gosh. Oh, and also pulls Witt and Abrams SPs. I guess it is either JRod or bust.

I guess if you look at it from a lost opportunity cost perspective, anybody would be disappointed.

That’s $3000 in wax, even though he only spent $1200 for it.

It's an interesting release where on the the surface...its amazing to see all this Chromium #d Color. It's fun and colorful. People are seeing so much color in an era of cards where if you open a hobby box and hit a single /199 Aqua Disco...you get excited. But when you get down the numbers after the rip, even most of this vet color is just more colored cards that don't mean much.

Not so sure... no one likes discos but these are great in hand.

When changing the direction of the card on a scanner, you'll get almost a completely different image than before. They are very, very cool is what I'm saying.

And I think it all boils down to if it's repeated or not, and if so for how long.

Best case scenario is this is a 1-time thing imo

What this product has going for it is the 110 card checklist. You aren’t hitting Kyle Seager color.

In 11th grade I went to a journalism event with my high school in Huntsville, TX and won a lede writing competition (and a minor scholarship of $250) focused on effective distillation of important details.

Two months later, I would move to San Jose, CA, and abandon my journalism aspirations in favor of a part-time job at Blockbuster Video, techno music producer, and freelance Tupperware salesperson. It was instantly crowned product of the year specifically because it was available to common joes at a great price of $50.

I can assure you that if this came out at $300/box direct from topps or available from the big three at that price, people would be ripping it apart and complaining how ugly the product is, quality control issues, etc.

History will determine how we view it as the story is not yet over / there are still at least four more “special chrome products” coming out in the next few months.

This story will remain to be seen…

For those holding sealed, it seems that the number of listings are dwindling down. Some members still haven't received their boxes but many already have. I'm not sure if we'll see that "flood" of products being listed on eBay and other platforms but only time will tell.

Box prices seem to be currently selling for ~$130 shipped with some sales in the $140-$150 range (despite there being cheaper options available).

Is ~$130 shipped the floor price for the product or will it increase/decrease over the next week? What's your thoughts?!

Regardless, congratulations to all those who didn't sleep on the product and secured some, whether it be to rip/flip/hold!! Not many opportunities where you can purchase a fantastic product (available for many hours) at a fantastic price!!

Unsure what the other 2 might be but haven't been paying close enough attention.

But it would never have been priced that high. $50 was the ideal price point at least for now. I'm sure even if it was miraculously $50 again next year, Topps would do something to devalue the product without being quite so obvious.

Houdini hit an Orange Speckle Witt ESP parallel this weekend in around his 100th silver pack. Adds another layer of intrigue to the Lite boxes.
