Lebron James Showoff thread!

Hello All…..

Count me among the former or inactive card collectors who have been coming out of the woodwork lately because of the recent seismic activity in the basketball card markets. I too have many questions about this phenomenon. In large part, because I’ve never sold anything, but my wife would love it if I found a new home for the thousands of cards I’d accumulated from ’95 thru roughly 2007. But after several weeks of lurking these boards, one thing I’ve observed is that new ones looking for information must tread lightly and be careful of the questions they ask - or they face the risk of being shunned, ridiculed or worse, exiled to Cesspool Island.

Since that’s the last thing I want, especially right out of the gate, I figured the safest place for my first BO forum post is in this thread, where I can simply share some early LeBron cards, all of which I was fortunate enough to obtain the old fashioned way….. from packs.

Great cards, you could probably unload most of them in the BST basketball section if you are trying to avoid ebay. I'm sure that I and others would be interested

Thank you. Some of that was somewhat in jest, although I have been a little taken aback by some responses to what I thought have been reasonable questions. I've read the rules (including #7), so I get it. But it's hard to say that these aren't unique times with things changing so quickly that the answer to a question asked in May or June may be entirely different then the same question asked today. But I appreciate the support.

Thanks. Good to know. I'm still sorting, going thru boxes finding new/forgotten cards. My game room is starting to look like a card shop with stacks of cards here and there. When I have everything sorted and inventoried, I'll check it out.

That vertical booklet card is a great! Panini should totally utilize that format for a riff on the 1969 Topps Rulers. I'd buy that.

Points in the Paint, one of Panini's best inserts! I just finished the 2018-19 base insert set. I love it, thanks for sharing a less appreciated card, and great photo of it!

Got this lot for $50 BIN on eBay The listing had this photo and lots of others but no individual card info and the title was just "Lebron James random 24 card lot. Different years." The Bowman Chrome is perfect.

My favorite athlete/player of all time. I think I've got 7 or so jerseys too.

What makes me happy is none of these cards were expensive compared to the recent boom. I think I paid 130 for the Finals jersey patch card in July 2016. The Bowman Chrome Rookie was 50 dollars raw? Anyway, enjoy! Got a few at SGC and PSA right now. Some of the collections in here are absolutely amazing! Hoping he can get ring 4 here in the next few months.
