I hate admitting that I like movies that Ben Affleck is in, but I did enjoy the first one and will definitely go see this one as well...

It won't be out until 2026, but The Odyssey is on my watchlist.

Going to see Captain America later today, and The Monkey early next week.

It can be difficult for mass audiences to recognize greatness, if it's not the kind they are used to. I'm not surprised CGI complaints and negative feelings about Ezra Miller diminish opinions of "The Flash", but eventually, it'll all work out.

I remember seeing movies like "Dazed and Confused" and "Big Lebowski", for instance, on their opening weekends in nearly empty theaters. Their wide acclaim came years later.

The Shining is one of the greatest films of all time. It's near perfection. Additionally, if you buy into the conspiracy, you get a story within a story.

"Captain America" was OK. Acting was excellent, but there wasn't much to the story. It did advance the overall plot-line, but this probably should've been another season of "Falcon & The Winter Soldier" on Disney+, albeit retitled "Captain America & The Falcon". Even so, this was pretty much the start of the next couple of Avengers movies, which I'm looking forward to.

Next up, "Thunderbolts*"...

I'm shocked to hear that a Disney Marvel movie lacked a story and any semblance of a plot.

Interesting because I heard the acting was terrible along with the story and VFX. It sounds like it had the production value of a Disney+ show. Isn't the Falcon the new Captain? So it should be Captain America and the Winter Soldier ...oh but wait, they already made that movie

The Falcon- Wilson (Mackie) became the new Captain America....and his friend/partner- Torres became the "new" Falcon in the Falcon/Winter Soldier...

But nice try

The actors with the vast majority of the screen time are Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford. I mean, they're both pretty good actors and they acted the way they normally do, so I'm not sure who would be responsible for the terrible acting in this. Plus, the older fellow who plays The Truth is terrific, just like he was in "Falcon and Winter Soldier". There weren't a ton of effects except for in the final act. It's not really a special effects driven movie, but the red Hulk looks pretty much like the green Hulk looks in the other movies, and the aerial scenes were done like they were with Downey as Iron Man.

Gladiator 2 released in November and was streaming by January. Just a new age. Barely a reason to go to the theater anymore outside of IMAX movies

Yeah it’s hard to watch Gerard Butler try to act. At least he tries.

Watched the new Captain America today. I didn't hate it but it had quite a few holes in it's plot and I didn't love a lot of the casting including Ford, Esposito, and Haas especially. It was overall forgettable. 4/10

Saw "The Monkey" today, which is based on a 45 year old short story from Stephen King. Director Osgood Perkins, who recently hit with "Longlegs", expanded it well for his adaptation. Good show, with plenty of humor mixed in to the gore.
8.5/10

Found The Monkey to be 5/10. Humor was the best part.

Excited for Mickey 17 despite some mixed reviews.

I thought it was going to be a Monkey Shines remake judging off the poster.

I thought it was a Monkey Shines remake based on the trailer. But no, just a cheap rip off
