I've always had good transactions with Burbank but hardly ever on ebay. I might see something on ebay but then I know to just head over to Beckett Marketplace, get a cart ready and place an offer over there.

Wasn't Orlando postponed until early 2025?

Is this a crock or what?

"Thousands of fresh sports cards from Burbank Sportscards are available on Fanatics Collect. This partnership means more opportunities to find the cards you love, whether you’re looking for rare treasures or affordable finds to build out your collection."

Aren't they just moving from 1 platform to another?
It's not like they are getting brand new inventory just for Fanatics...
How is it more opportunities to find the cards you love when it was already on another huge platform??

I just received a saved search notification from ebay for a Burbank listing. I thought they were moving platforms? Can't find any info if the deal fell through or not.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Fanatics axed the deal. Fanatics is not the place for millions of junk base and parallels.

the only time I interacted with them was when I made an offer on an ohtani card and they ignored it

Once Fanatics acquired Topps they certainly became the place for millions of junk base cards and endless parallels.

Looks like the move is finally happening. Fanatics is now flooded with tons of junk singles that literally nobody will ever buy.

Good riddance to Burbank. Nobody will miss them, and I’ll never use Fanatics Collect or whatever it is.

The Fanatics Collect BIN can be whatever, it's fine, it's not any better or worse than eBay. But Fanatics Collect is a much, much more enjoyable way to be an auction buyer than eBay these days. No nonsense, no weird sniping, dramatically fewer relisted shill auctions.

Agreed, I did have a card shipped from ebay to my vault just take a little while longer than usual to be uploaded and processed but seeing this Burbank news now that kinda makes sense.

I'm guessing the big delay for Burbank/Fanatics was probably due to the sheer mass of data needed, but that's just a guess.

Knock on wood, still no issues with Fanatics Vault and just used weekly auction for a card from my vault and it sold for a good bit over the Fanatics estimate. It was a 90s card of a big nba star so that probably helped, and it seems that those are becoming specifically good things to sell on the Fanatics weekly auctions.

I've never been on Fanatics Collect.
Do their auctions have a buyer's premium?

yes - it is 12% I believe - my limited experience with the platform has left a lot to be desired. Took like 5 days for the cards to pop into my account.

I thought the partnership died out or was never heard from again - guess it was just delayed.

20%. Their UI is very good at showing your actual price to pay when bidding, though. And the prices include the BP in their own auction history and once it goes to Card Ladder and such.

ACH - but the money had already come out of my account. They said their accounting team had to process it
