I would be shocked if this gets shipped in Sept-October. Every time they have announced a month so far, turned out to not be true.
Just wonder where all these supply chain issues are coming from...things still that impacted nearly 3 years out from the pandemic. They probably shouldnt have said in the FAQs on the campaign there would be no covid related delays due to it being made in the US...

Yeah, not that I don't believe them, but simply saying 'sorry, blame covid' seems a little inadequate.

New update. Book now slated for October-November. But hey, 415 random people are now getting Hulk cards. 400 bronze, 15 5 ounce solid silver.

This must be the 5th or so time they said an expected ship date, to just push back. Saw that coming. They now say Oct-Nov...not gonna fall for it. I will guess the books dont ship out until next year at this point. Gotta say it's disappointing. For Covid-related shipping delays which doesnt make a lot of sense this far out.
I get it that they are throwing out more freebies with every update and pushback to appease us....and the Hulk metal card looks cool. But when are people going to start asking questions wondering when this book will ever ship out. FPG should be giving a more specific update- where they are at in the production stage, which part of it is specifically delayed....more info. Not just 'delayed due to Covid'.

I really wish they would stop blaming it on COVID, it just sounds like BS. Shipping and manufacturing delays - yea probably but the blame everything on COVID stuff is just poor form

I’m still not a fan of random bonus extras for some supporters. Why not make a less elaborate bonus extra that everyone gets as an apology for all the delays?

No kidding, I'd rather just have a nice print thrown as a freebie for everyone. Plus out if 415 bonus "cards" how many will we see on eBay as soon as these are received? I have zero interest in one of those.

Well...they do look nice, particularly how they went all out and did the backs like that.... they are definitely something I would collect. Regardless, I hope we can finally see this book before the year end....originally was supposed to ship out late April.

New update just launched. Pretty depressing.
Expected ship date is now December. On the better news side now EVERYONE is getting a free item. Each order will come with a blind bag. People packing the orders will have no ideas what is in each bag so totally random. The big announcement is the solid gold Spider Man card I guess. Worth 12k. One lucky winner there for sure.

I'm good. The cards are 30+ years old already.
The art hasn't changed in 3 decades. It won't over the next couple months, either. The HalfTone Horrors compendium of horror comic book covers was the only previous KS I've backed that took this long, and it was a book similar to this one in production. I received it earlier this year even though it was supposed to be delivered in 2022. These kind of items may indeed still have a big backlog of projects the printers have to get to in front of them. Good luck on your blind bag, fellow backers.

One of my main issues is not even the delay itself, although continuing to use Covid as a reason is questionable, but that they keep giving a date at all, and then pushing it back. It should be honest at this point: "we dont know when this book will ship". I guess their strategy of promising all kinds of extra goodies and freebies (I stopped keep track of all the lotto bonuses) with every pushback is working for them. So whenever you get an update, it's "Look at all this GREAT stuff we're adding!!....oh and btw not shipping on the date we told you it would". Look at the comments on the kickstarter page....there is no pushback at all for the continual delays each month, just elation for the extras. Am I the only one who is starting to wonder if we'll ever even get the book? It sounds ridiculous....but already one thing that was promised in the campaign- the frames for the original art tier- were delayed and delayed....and then eventually just scrapped altogether.

I started feeling this way on "HalfTone Horrors", but eventually, they delivered it, and it was pretty awesome. They were in this exact same delay spiral, though, and cited the very same reasons.
At one point in the midst of it, they delivered on some auxiliary (non-book) stuff from the campaign, and I do remember some backers grousing along the lines of, "I don't need no stickers n' such. I just want the dang book already!". I mean, it's perfectly reasonable to expect having received this by now, but I'm a regularly patient person with this kind of stuff, and I can report to all, it usually works out in the end. I'm curious. Did the super backers get their original art yet?

Yes superbackers do have the paintings in hand. Just the bare painting, not in any frame or anything, which was advertised in the original campaign looking real nice in the official frame. Thats what I mean by the above: FPG kept saying the frame was delayed because pandemic related supply delays...and actually ended up scrapping the entire frame in the end (they offered a custom made slipcover for the book to make up for it...but I think a lot of people were disappointed by this).

I just wonder when the sentiment will change among the backers. Like if it's July 2024, and still no book, but a lot of updates between now and then of oh-so many more freebies given on a monthly basis- will people still be as enthusiastic? What if it's like December 2024 or 2025....where is the dividing line where people start to question.

I'm still excited for this release -- maybe more so than originally. The delays suck, but if the release is done well, it'll have been worth it for me in the end.

That's my overall sentiment as well. I pretend it doesn't exist and it's more of a nice surprise if it gets delivered. MM22 is going to keep me preoccupied for presumably years...

Some people are now cancelling their pledges.
I will admit that I would have preferred something neat like everyone getting a signed 1992MM card from Joe Jusko vs 1 person getting a 12k card.

I just look at all these comments on the kickstarter update of people excited to get it as presents for Christmas.....I want that as much as the next person, but I mean cmon lol, do they really think this will ship in December, after the last 6 or 7 dates didnt pan out? Why do people think this will be any different. So much for 'fool me once, fool me twice'....that's like a 'fool me 7 times' situation.

Every tier gets the 104 page mini book of the Joe Jusko recreations as a bonus. Plain book tier gets the book. Signed and numbered tiered gets the exclusive slipcover, signed by Joe Jusko and the bronze /1992 Spider Man card. Original Art got a Jusko painting and the books. It looks like from the random blind bags there will be: 1 $12k gold Spider Man card. From recent spot that is ~6oz gold 400 bronze Hulk cards 15 5 ounce solid silver Hulk cards 1 of 1 various color Hulk cards ![]() He has also dropped hints about silver Spider Man cards, bronze Wolverine and Psylocke but who knows? Any idea HOW MANY books are going out? At least 500 from the blind bag count I am guessing.

Now for all these lotto chances they are doing, is it one for each book, or one for each order. People could back, say the mid-tier or top-tier and add on book(s) by just adding to the amount they paid. Or just ordering more than one base book by a single backer. Rough estimation attempt to account for that: 124 backers for original art tier, at $2500 399 backers for mid signed tier, at $295 $516,000 total pledged. 516,000-(124*2500+399*295) = $88,295 left for the base tier. Base was $59, so 88295/59 gives us about 1500 copies of the base book sold. Adding 1500+399+124 gives an approximate number of 2000 books sold. Some of those 'added on' books were not $59 base books but $295 mid tier books, so if anything that should overestimate it a bit. I would expect the total number of books sold in the campaign to be somewhere in the 1500 to 2000 range.

Using your prize numbers above Fenian,
and lets just use 1600 backers since I'm guessing it's per order and not per book, Looking something like this, for odds: Hulk bronze: 1:4 Hulk silver: 1:107 Hulk colored metal 1/1 (there are 50): 1:32 Spidey gold: 1:1,600 Overall chances of getting one of the above: 1:3.4 Now FPG claims every order has some kind of extra, so I dont know what the 'regular' extra is that will be in the pouch they are talking about. I also remember talk about a Psylocke bronze etc but it's all running together and lost track. I dont think they said what the regular extra they are including with orders is (which is not one of the above listed ones). Edit: the Psylocke bronze is showing on the campaign as being include with the mid-tier signed edition, along with the Spidey bronze. So they might have just added it to that. All tiers, including the base, do get a Hulk metal card. All this bronze, silver, metal, 1/1 colored metal...running together!

So here would be what to expect for each tier, per the kickstarter page:
Base Book with Hulk cover Digest Hulk metal card Signed tier Signed/numbered Book with Spider-man cover, in slipcase Digest Spiderman bronze card Psylocke bronze card Hulk metal card Original art tier -Signed/numbered book in custom slipcase based on the character drawn for the original art. The actual cover of the book is Wolverine for the Round 1 104 group and *possibly* something different for Round 2's such as Silver Surfer -Digest -Original art, not framed (already received) -Hulk metal card And then the random lotto bonus as a possibility for any tier (including a regular extra to all backers). Now it's possible Im missing things, or things have been changed, but that is what the page and updates seem to be saying
