So far this season i am 22-5 in online play. I am 0-3 when facing FOTF Casey Mize, with a combined 6 hits against him. Idk what it is but I just cannot pick up his pitches very well. Anybody else find a pitcher they simply cannot hit? Last one i remember being this bad for me was 2019 Kershaw

This is my first time playing the game and (at this point) actually feeling like I am caught up on the different programs. I still have a few more FOTF rewards to get to in the next week, but I think that should be doable. I am all complete with all side programs except for the Astros (100 more PXP needed with Brantley, can't wait to get him out of the lineup. Just finished the same thing with Rendon, man that is brutal). All conquest maps are complete, all caught up on showdowns

I just restarted the USA map to get some more PXP flowing in, but prioritized finishing off the AL Central strongholds quick to get 2 more prospects, which gave me 25 to unlock Adley. At this point I really feel all caught up and nothing more to do, at least until the next content drop this afternoon- looking forward to the cover athletes program, can't wait to get Mauer!

Aside, I really hope they put a juiced Morneau in the game later on. I've been playing with the Morneau from the Twins collection, and it just isn't very good

Very excited for this cover athletes program, should drop the price of those cards significantly. If it drops enough I’ll be able to get Mauer. Really trying to not use any money on this game but if I’m close I’ll spend like 20 bucks to lock Mauer in now. Considering we probably won’t get his 99 card until Aug/Sept

Hollywood we definitely will get a high level Morneau. Probably late June or late July/early Aug if I had to guess.

With Morneau’s current card not being a Milestone/awards/signature series card, he’s pretty much a lock to get another high level Diamond as long as nothing crazy happens. Especially as someone they touted early on in reveals

Super slow I think you need to buy cover athletes and grind their pxp then sell to max out

I've played for the last hour and 4/5 of the "missions" are always hit a HR

which is ridiculous since you only get.2 cover athletes, 1 gold, and 2 silver I think...they make you take 2 pitchers when there aren't even any pitching missions..

I always hate showdowns so my plan is

-do the moments for a total of 39 points
-Grind 2 cover athletes for PXP and then Twins/Red Sox/Mariners team PXP grind at the same time in mini seasons

So I’m currently rocking Tatis and Donaldson, then using 2 Twins/Mariners/Red Sox to fill out the rest of the team and then have a rotation and bullpen full of Twins/RS/Mariners.

Just a full out grind squad, rookie mini seasons, and slowly get there

Did you guys do BR first program? I skipped it entirely but have been doing second, curious if they added any more objectives or what's available now is it

Actually, just double checked...I should be good, forgot some of the other LS cards were silver/gold

Curious to see what info they drop for the next program that starts next Friday...5 big diamonds that are supposedly "very nice"

If they alternate the inning programs between 5 bosses and 30 team specific diamonds that'd be a nice compromise from last year

So I had 6 show packs from working through my second mini seasons run, and decided to rip them

Acuna!!! Sold him for a bunch of stubs because I really like my OF right now. I’m over 350K stubs now

I'm getting an unhandled exception now when I try to load my current Diamond Dynasty season. I reset my network and the one on the ps5, i also uninstalled and reinstalled and the issue persists. I was in the playoffs, super annoying. Going to try to hard wire it later to see if that fixes. If not, idk...

I've enjoyed the game so far, only complaint is the amount of solo HR in online play. Seems like everything is soft contact or 400+ feet with nothing in between.

Well..was gonna complain about my pack luck being awful per usual...

I'm now 0/3 on Chase Packs...alllll freaking 3 being golds...not even cheap diamonds, golds lol

But, I did also pull Tatis out of regular packs and sold for 130k..picked up some stuff for big collection later, mostly FOTF.

Maxed out this program, ready for the next program drop on Friday

Probably gonna take a few days off from grinding the game, need to pace myself so I don’t burn myself out so quickly

Good news is I’m about 25ish points away from finishing the cover athletes program. Once I get that pack, those cover athletes cards should be down to near 22-23K and I’ve got enough stubs to buy the rest I need and get that 96 Mauer

Man this cover athlete showdown is frustrating. The mini challenges are basically all "hit a HR", which feels like a complete tossup for me each time out. I've gotten up to like 5-6 runs each of my first few times and then hit the final Ohtani decently well, but just haven't had enough outs to work with. Then this time I get up to 8 runs heading into the final challenge, and then like 80% of my outs come off of good/good flyouts to straightaway center field. Only managed to score a single run off of a solo homer, and had like 1 other hit in the round. Not like I was swinging at bad stuff or being impatient either. Man that's frustrating

Yeahhh see my post about it lol I spent about 2.5 hours the night it dropped trying to get it done coming up either 1 run short or tying.

F I nally next day after work I nailed all the challenges but 1..got extremely lucky getting most the HRS on rookie and the total bases on veteran

I've never been a big fan of this mode honestly.

I'm surprised prices on cover athletes are still around 28-30k even after this program dropping.

I have about 40k XP left to get to the level 36 Big Dogs pack and fully complete the FOTF program rewards. Looking through what ways I have left to get program XP -

-Remaining Breakout/veteran/rookie PXP challenges (10,500 XP)
-Spotlight moments (7,000 XP)
-Daily XP (3,000 total x 2 days left = 6,000 XP)

That leaves me about 15k short still. I can also count on gameplay XP, I'm not really sure how to estimate this TBH but I would imagine that this would cover the remaining 15k, especially with double XP. I'm planning on doing mini seasons to grind the breakout/veteran/rookie PXP challenges, so I think that should line up fairly nicely

If I do get there, this will be the first program I complete 100% in any Show iteration

New bronze, silver, and gold exclusive players with same PXP missions. Some new missions replaced the old ones for just general BR play.

Two of the exclusive cards are a Gold 2016 Topps Now Gerrit Cole and a Silver 2018 Topps Now Juan Soto. I like the inclusion of classic Topps Now cards and think they might be worth buying for when the first big collection comes around.
