This is just a post from someone who knows officiating was awful but has too big of an ego to admit it. I'll never shy away from admitting that the Gophers got one with the assistance of some bad officiating. Admitting it doesn't change the record book.

Also, you have two wins by a combined 10 points over a "crappy Minnesota team", filled with D1, D2, D3 misfits, as a "top 10" team. Minnesota was picked to be dead last in the conference and MSU has struggled twice with them. What does that say about MSU? MSU is about a round 2 exit in the NCAA's right now. They turn the ball over too often and in the NCAA's, they aren't going to get away with the constant arm bars and hip checks like they do on their home floor and in the Big Ten because officials are intimidated by Izzo.

Why are you so upset? It's a game, a game in which it doesn't really matter for your program. It's hard to believe you haven't changed a bit in all these years. Plus, what you described of MSU is true for EVERY Tom Izzo team. They ALWAYS look like this at this point in the season. Congratulations on realizing a Tom Izzo team looks the same they've always looked like for over 20 years.

Thank you for continuing to prove you have too big of an ego to admit the officials won that for you. I have a lot more respect for those who can admit they were on the fortunate end of the whistles in a close (and lucky) win. Always easy to talk when you are on the right side of a poorly officiated game. Good luck the rest of the way and hope you don't see Minnesota in the Big Ten tournament.

You're a child, and I didn't watch the game.

Time for you to log off the internet for a while.

Lol. Okay buddy. Didn't watch the game but wants to call Minnesota (a team you luckily beat by 2) a bad team. You just continue to prove my point about your ego. But that is how you have always been. Egotistical. Let's see if you try and get the last word in now

So by your guys standards Purdue is a first round exit because they lost to Rutgers? Terrible takes guys. At the end of the day we’re talking about a 10-4 team not a 6-11 Nebraska team. Kentucky’s no good because they lost to Notre Dame? What about Kansas losing to Dayton?

Every team has things to clean up and we’re not winning out the rest of the season but our current losses are to top ten teams (one being Baylor). Bitterness shouldn’t equal unintelligent statements.

My point was that calling Minnesota "crappy" as they just gave MSU a run for their money is off point. Do I believe right now that MSU is a 2nd round exit in the tournament? Yes, because they do not take care of the ball well and they get away with a lot with Big Ten officiating because they have a reputation within the conference. They are clearly a really good team, one of the best in the conference, but if they turn the ball over too much, it is going to cause issues against teams that can and will capitalize in the NCAAs. But 3 weeks down the line, my thought of a 2nd round exit could change. I am strictly speaking on if the season ended today and the NCAAs started tomorrow.

Right now, I dont think the Big Ten has a National Championship contender amongst them. Purdue will likely make it the furthest in the tournament because fair chance they will get a 1 seed. Illinois and MSU will both be in the 2-3 seed range and have potentials at a run, but I dont see them as National Championship contenders.

MSU has played three games vs ranked teams.

They are 1-2, getting beat by double digits in those two games.

No way they are contending. It will take Ill or Pur getting hot to go deep.

We’re not a Nat’l championship contender at this point. I always hope for a Sweet Sixteen appearance and I think that’s doable. BTW I never called Minnesota a crappy team as my first comment stated they’re a solid team IMO and they don’t have a terrible record at all albeit struggling in B10 play so far.

No, you didnt call us crappy. You were very complimentary. JV resorted to calling us crabby despite not even watching the game.

Minnesota definitely isnt the most talented team in the Big Ten. Probably towards the bottom in terms of talent, but we work our tails off and that is why we have been competitive. 17 regular season wins probably gets the Gophers into the tournament. Going to likely have to get an upset or two in the 6 games against Ohio State, Wisconsin, Iowa

Who has said MSU is a title contender? I'm curious as I haven't heard it anywhere, not even in East Lansing.

I don't think they are, but I also wouldn't bet against a Tom Izzo team in March having a decent run.

If they could find some help off the bench they might be in a better spot vs. making their starters work as hard as they have to each game.

Losing bench depth in Isaiah Ihnen and Parker Fox in the offseason really hurt the team. Both were expected to be starters and log big minutes for the team.

Next year, Gophers should have better depth. They return Battle and a few bench reserves, but they get Braeden Carringon and Pharrel Payne as freshman, who will both start. Fox and Ihnen will be healthy. And then we also have two other freshman incoming, including Josh Ola-Joseph who will log solid minutes.

There he is....can never stay go too long without having my name in your mouth. Rather flattering, actually.

It also makes so much sense why they call you JV now because all of your takes are pretty junior varsity. Which also makes sense because you likely never played the sport past that level.

Who is they? My friends call me gladdy, Gladstone or Dan. I don't know why you're so triggered over a Basketball game but I think you need to re-evaluate here. It's just a game, a game your team blew by letting Joey Hauser score a game winning bucket. Move on, the refs didn't cost Minnesota the game, their ability to make enough winning plays did.

Man, for someone who didn't watch the game, you still have a lot to say. You can be egotistical if you want (no shock, it's who you are), but the officials definitely dictated the outcome. If you can't see the blatant travel in the video I posted (this is one of many calls that went MSU's way), it just shows your true homer-ism. There is no Hauser basket if the correct call on the floor is made, simple as that. It is hilarious that you defend the officials in a game you didn't watch because it benefitted your team. You can move along now though buddy. You weak opinion is invalid since you didn't watch the game.

But I'll wait for another weak response from you though because I know it is coming. You just love you some CC.

Gophers game is going to be ugly today. A team that already only plays 7 guys, is without Eric Curry, Sean Sutherlin, Danny Ogele (who doesnt play much, but would have today if Curry wasnt playing with his ankle), and Joey Kern (who never plays) due to COVID.

I am guessing we see a lot of zone, which isnt going to bold well. Charles Daniels and a super inexperienced Treyton Thompson as the only bigs on the roster sounds like an absolute disaster. No Curry or Sutherlin is a huge blow considering they are two of the largest minute loggers for the Gophers this season. An incredibly winnable game has all of the sudden turned to a very improbable win, with it likely being an ugly margin.

Game is going about as expected. Being forced to play a kid who plays 11 minutes per game, 30+ and a walk-on significant minutes will do that to you.

A full strength Iowa team vs a Minnesota team with 7 scholarship players and a walk-on was never going to be close. Gophers should have just kept testing to try and get another positive COVID test for the postponement
