I still wonder if Vanessa or the family estate’s representatives struck a deal for Kobe’s likeness on “regular” cards going forward. Panini is obviously using Kobe photos on this limited print set but I wonder if that means business as usual going forward or if this might be still a point of discussion for Panini.

2019 Contenders Kobe Subset seems to be bought as soon as they are listed for 3K+. Don't think it will be possible to put that set of 17 together -_-

Probably continued through this product and slightly going forward, but I would expect a renegotiation that results in a future Legacy Set.

Kobe encased 2018-19 were fulfilled. There are some being listed on the bay

Yeah I saw some of these on IG as well. Sticker autos. I’m guessing they had no on-card autos left after he passed, so they are using whatever stickers they had left. At least one of the Encased autos I saw was a 9.5! Better than all the 8’s and 8.5’s that are coming out of Encased this year.

At this point a Kobe auto (even if sticker) is worth more than those mosaic packs

are redemptions not in order? i've seen a fair number of 19-20 contender on-card autos and it seems like only recently have the 18-19 encased sticker autos been going out?

Sure Panini doesn't owe everyone who has a Kobe auto a Zion auto or a Luka auto but if for ONCE they would take the customers side then you would have one.

Panini owes people something and they are simply taking their own side and saying F U to the customer by simply printing cards.

They're screwing over customers with these packs and they screw over hobby stores by selling their own boxes of cards. IT'S ALL ABOUT PANINI!

No and that doesn't matter. Panini should work at setting the bar not simply falling in line with the other companies
