I just bought 1 of these, won’t be here till Monday. What are the pulls I should be looking for? Seeing somebody pull the Price RC got me motivated to do this.

Well I honestly don't recall the exact ratio, I think it was like 25 signed cards across all the box sets. They probably made many thousands of box sets. So, yeah, not so good odds.

so got my 250* in today, had a few the other night so not sure why I couldn't do simple math lol.
Anyhow, I rate the baseball 6/10 stars, 5 Stars being fun factor. I would rate these 6/10 stars as well with all 6 stars being fun factor. Many of the packs below were packs I literally grew up ripping as hockey was the main sport I ripped as a 10-11-12 year old. Unfortunately I can't go higher. I was hoping that with what I saw, I would get several UD packs to get young guns from.....I got one...which was severely disappointing after seeing 50/100 pack orders get 5-6. Also my least favorite product growing up with Pinnacle Mint....and I got 50 or 20% of my lot covering that. By far the most excitement for me was the Donruss and Leaf and they accounted for the most exciting cards. ![]() Here were my best rookies and cards. ![]() Mask and Team Pinnacle are about 1:100 ea Epic are 1:24 Gold Plated coin is 1:72 Silver (Im assuming Nickel) is 1:24 By rareness sake the axis cards are Limited to between 50 and 1700--I will have to do more research there. ----- My two hits LOL ![]() ------ And two for the PC that I am very happy about. I am a sucker for mid-late 90's serial numbered. The MB is pretty clean with minor chipping, the FP has some more pronounced chipping. ![]() ![]() Might spin the wheel again....I with there was a request form I may request 80000 packs of Leaf and Donruss lol.

Seeing this makes me even more excited for my box on Monday. I love the Potvin card. I take it, you can’t redeem the redemptions anymore?

Just ordered 2 of these as well after reading the baseball thread. The fun of ripping all the packs should be worth the price of admission. Will try to make a video of the opening if possible.

Just shipped to the house. No pro set or score and not too many good hits.

Thank you! The box overall was a little bit of a letdown. The 3 I put in cases seemed to be the only cards worth over $1. It was still fun ripping the packs with my kids. I think im going to do this again. I know your an expert when it comes to the young guns...any idea what the Kessel and Vlasic could be worth?

Raw on the Kessel? Probably $25? I paid $90 for my 9.5. It was a reach but I really wanted it at the time. Worth taking the chance and subbing if you use PSA through Jewcer. The cost if $12+/- plus shipping both ways, so really would set you back about $22. Probably worth $60 in PSA 10 so the margin is slim. |

Well here is a wrap up of what I got from my 100 packs. I still need to look some of these up. I had fun with this and will probably order more soon.

You probably already looked it up, but the Young Guns Brodie, Nielsen and Pirri are all "normal NHL players." They stuck in the league, Brodie's pretty good, Pirri came up the hard way, but they're not worth a whole lot. The big hits from the 2010-11 UD (Brodie/Pirri) are Taylor Hall and PK Subban, and the big hits from the 2007-08 (Nielsen) are Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Carey Price, Nicklas Backstrom and Tuuka Rask. So you do have a chance at hitting a big card with these, but the checklists are pretty big. I got one of these 50-packs a couple months back (https://www.blowoutforums.com/showth...8#post14616478). Didn't get any YGs, but since they gave me like 6 packs and the hit rate was 1 in 5 that's not weird or anything. I also like the look of those Victory rookies from whatever year that was, because I got a few of them too. They're kind of low-end, lo-fi but in a cool way. Unlike the old time hockey Ultra inserts (which I also got a few of), which are just boring imo Last edited by Devonshmevon; 06-10-2019 at 06:46 PM. |

Got the last 7 lots on walmart a while back. Got them today. I'll admit, I'm a football guy (got 5 lots of football) and know NOTHING about hockey besides some popular names from the 90's here or there. So not sure how I did on the packs. But the for the price, it will be fun opening them tonight, so don't really care that much.
Packs: 2 full sealed boxes of 91 pro set....LOL 97-98 leaf 50 packs 07-08 UD - 1 pack 96-97 pinnacle mint 31 packs 06-07 UD parkhurst 2 packs 07-08 UD MVP 2 packs 05-06 UD 1 pack Tristar hidden treasures pack? not sure what year 05-06 UD power play 1 pack 97-98 donurss 2 packs 97-98 pinnacle 25 packs 2006? I'll have to do some hockey deep diving tonight and build up my knowledge base, but I'm going to be lost honestly, LOL. |

Pinnacle 97-98 is a brutal break. I opened 4 sealed boxes a couple of years ago and I didn't have much to show. A mask card (cool), a few parallels (nice looking too) and a couple more inserts and that was about it.

Oh crap, you are right. I'm sorry. When I did my three of these it was the leaf and donruss that I enjoyed. My apologies.
