I thought that too but after opening some they look much nicer in hand. And the chrome refractors are really nice.

I would have snagged those in two seconds.

MEGA boxes are dead, retail Heritage is the new hotness.

This is a significant sample size and definitely something worth basing your purchases on.

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for your personal luck. If you happen to drop $1k on retail and get burned, it has to be your luck. Not the fact that its retail. Cause retail is so hot right now.

Yea this stuff is lame. Only people who should buy heritage are set collectors otherwise its just a waste of money. I bought 2 blasters for the ich but thats it! Plus no rookies to chase! Whats the point!? Saving my money for bowman.

In the last 5 days, just under $750 on retail

14 blasters $279
24 hangers $239.76
27 rack packs $143.76
plus tax

All fresh unsearched.

3 garbage relics
2 French version
1 black chrome /70
1 blaster hot box
2 chrome /570
4 chrome /999

zero autos
zero sp action
zero throwbacks

Pretty brutal run. The talk of hobby not having SPs scared me away from hobby.

Should have just saved the $ for Bowman in April.

Just spent $100 on retail at Wal Mart with a mix of hangers and fat packs and got slaughtered. Only decent thing was an Acuna sticker. Hard to believe that some of the hangers have nothing but a standard short print in them.

That's it for me on Heritage retail.

Most people get slaughtered on retail. They just normally do not post it. These awesome pulls you see posted represent the smallest of percentages.

I know. But I think it's good to see reminders of this every now and then.

Yeah that surprised me. Definitely not buying hangers again when blasters are available.

hit a target today to buy stuff for the house and decided to pass through card isle and saw everything freshly stocked. about 12 heritage blasters, about 15 hangers and 10 fat packs. Left everything for the kids.

Well said, but I'm staying away from this stuff.
Bowman retail will be worth waiting for, at least the Megas.

Well, 4 blasters done, and nothing of note. Just 8 SPs and a Pujols bat relic /99

I just find this humorous, and it's really the tag line of this entire forum.

All I do is collect sets. Is there no honor in that, or is it all about buying lottery tickets?

I like baseball cards.

Hit a black chrome Posey from one blaster. Think I will buy a lottery ticket tonight.

I think its one every 3 packs...

So you should get 2.66 on average per blaster. 3 in some, 2 in others. But then variation and standard deviation so who really knows (ie it sucks, but sometimes in roulette you hit black 10 times in a row and sometimes you don't).

Wow, so my Target's finally got some in. I got a hanger and a blaster box for the kicks.

I ended up getting a Schoop Silver Metal, a Lindor candy lid and my two SP's ended up being Arenado and Benintendi. I guess I did pretty good for a retail, kinda surprised about the sales of the candy lids at the moment.

Tried to get to Target first but Hot box blasters already removed which means a blaster could be $22 of base. Amazing how the loose packs and fat packs were already feeled up at multiple stores, bet they will be sitting there awhile next to Series 1 which also usually looks like a hurricane has hit them.

Was excited to see these candy lids but after 3 smiling Buster Posey lids in 5 boxes, I think I have seen enough. My blasters were bad. Didn't realize there are so many weak SP's too. Unbelievable run of SP's - Mancini, Maeda, Schoop, Encarnacion, Hosmer, Castro, Carlos Martinez, Adam Jones, Berrios, Contreras, Gordon, Hicks, Mikolas and Castro again

Hangars have been better for me because at least they try to put one hit in the middle. Got a Thor relic and Washburn auto.

So pretty expensive and boring break when not hitting the right SP's, even for a collector

Last year it was 2.7 SP per blaster over a decent sample size. This year, who knows?
