Updated the OP with details. I believe we now have everything finalized. Let me know if you see anything that you have questions or concerns about. We'll let discussion go on for a few days and then people can start sending in their dues for Year 1 once they feel comfortable with the league settings

The biggest area to note the guidelines for is minor league rosters. Here is what I put in the OP. Again, please ask if you have any questions or let us know if you see anything that should be adjusted. Please see the OP for full pending guidelines, these are only the rules for how the minor league portion will work

Quote:
Minor League Rosters

Each team will have 10 minor league players/prospects they will get to keep outside of their major league squad on MLB.

Eligibility: All players on minor league rosters may have no more than 130 MLB at-bats, and no more than 50 MLB innings pitched. An easy way to remember these is that these guidelines are also MLB's rookie limits. After a player exceeds one of these parameters, they must either be dropped from your minor league team, or promoted to your major league team. Any player may be promoted to your major league team, provided they are in ESPN's player pool. If they are not in the player pool, they must be kept on your minor league roster.

Draft: We will hold a minor league draft each year after the major league draft has been completed. The draft order will be the same as the major league draft. In the minor league draft, each team will fill up their minor league roster until they have 10 players. After that point, there will be no minor league transactions other than trades, drops promotions. At the All-Star break, teams will be given an opportunity to drop as many players as they like from their minor league rosters. We will then hold another minor league draft (order determined by reverse standings at that point of the year, league tiebreakers solve any issues with teams having the same record). After that mid-season draft, no more minor league transactions will be allowed (again, other than trades until the trade deadline, and promotions). This process will repeat each new season or All-Star Break

Draft eligibility: Any player that is not on another team's roster is eligible to be drafted in the minor league draft. They do not need to be in ESPN's player pool in order to be drafted.

Transactions (promotions/dropping/trading): If you would like to promote one of your minor league players, simply post in the league (I will create a thread for minor league transactions once the league is created) with who you are promoting, and then go ahead and add that player like you would add any other free agent. The promotion will count as one of your 3 acquisitions for the week. A player may be dropped from your minor league roster at any time, but know that you don't gain anything from dropping (other than before one of the minor league drafts) as you cannot refill that roster slot at any time other than the draft. Post in the minor league transaction thread in our league who you want to drop and I will update your minor league roster accordingly. Minor leaguers are eligible to be traded, just keep in mind that you may have to adjust your roster a bit to allow the trade to happen. Notify me of a trade including minor leaguers by posting in the minor league transaction thread in our league, and I will make whatever changes that you cannot take care of yourself. Example- Team A trades Mike Trout for Team B's Bryce Harper and Prospect 1. Team A and B should propose and accept the Trout for Harper trade, and then post that the prospect is involved. Trout and Harper will be swapped as usual normally through the league, and I will update the minor league rosters accordingly upon the trade processing.

Minor league rosters will be posted and maintained [in the OP] following the completion of the first minor league draft.

Commish putting in work on NYE. I love it. Hopefully by this time next year, I will $150 richer courtesy of you guys! Nothing wrong with a little meaningless trash talk.

Can't wait for baseball season.

Probs going to send out a PM to those that haven't paid yet later tonight. The sooner we get everyone in, the sooner the fun begins!

Hey Guys, know what is $25 to some might not be $25 to others, but lets get payments in. Its getting close to that time where guys should know what slot they are drafting in so they can start making a game plan. If something changed with your intentions get with Hollywood so we can get replacements in.

Looking forward to playing!

Yes please, the way LeagueSafe works, if someone takes longer than the Feb. 1 deadline to pay, they will be charged the late fee even if they are a replacement and joined the league on Jan. 31st. If anyone wants to drop out, that's fine, but I need to know now so I can find replacements ASAP so they don't have a late fee

Firerunner said he is paying today, BoSox is returning from vacation and should be paying in the next few days, but I haven't heard anything from Highroller yet. I've played fantasy with him before and he's good and active, but how long should we give him before getting a replacement? I did get a PM this morning about someone interested if a spot opens up, but not sure how long to wait for Highroller

The only problem with waiting until the 30th for a payment is that if a person does not pay by then, then the replacement will have to pay a late fee on top of the $25. Is that correct, Hollywood? That may turn a replacement away. If you have someone willing to take his spot, Hollywood, then I'd say wait until the 29th or so and then have the replacement get in. Hopefully we hear from Highroller though before that! Can't wait.

Yes, that's the issue. Not fair to make a new member pay the last fee just because someone else dropped out and didn't tell us ahead of time. I'll give Highroller this week before getting a replacement

Don't charge the new member the late fee. I did that with my fantasy football league through League Safe.

OP is accurate, just waiting on Firerunner and Highroller

I don't want to, but from my understanding, LeagueSafe's late fee is automatic after you pass the payment deadline, and I haven't seen a way to override that
