I have a complete Horan PC too, but that was just such poor sportsmanship on Portland's part. Her foul was total garbage. I've enjoyed watching Raso before as well. And I'm about as impartial on the NWSL as it gets. It's sad to see a team be rewarded for playing like that.

I read that there was some chanting at Portland. That true?

The league markets to little girls and their parents instead of adults like every other league. That's the result I suppose.

I know this thread isn't technically for breaks, but since it's the most active women's soccer thread I thought I'd post here.

I picked up 2 cases of 2016 Panini USA soccer since the prices seemed to drop again after the men's team failed to qualify. There are still a few prime patches & silhouette prime autos I'm chasing and I know ROI is horrible on this set so most of the singles on ebay have crazy high BIN prices. And if I'm going to way overpay I'd at least like the excitement of breaking my own boxes.

I've opened 15 of the 20 boxes over the last three days. I thought these cases were usually pretty evenly split 5 autos from usmnt and 5 from uswnt but I ended up with 12 USWNT autos out of those 15 boxes. I'm not complaining, but it is scary to think it could've just as easily been 12 of 15 men's national team autos.

Hoping there is a prime patch relic still left in one of those five boxes and that it is NOT a men's national team player.

That is awesome. Congrats on the luck. That Morgan is a great looking card. And I'm glad you had so much like with the USWNT instead. This product just drove me crazy with all the crappy MNT pulls.

Off topic from the awesome break above, my appreciation for Julie Foudy has only grown over the years due to her pointed and truthful commentary on the current USWNT. I listened to her talk about the championship game today and I'm glad she was willing to critique the play in that game.

I would also contend that Jill Ellis doesn't understand how a club game like that will affect chemistry on her team down the road. Heath took Taylor Smith out and prevented her from competing on the national team as well. Ellis can pretend like that won't have an effect on the team, but it will. Ellis is such a garbage coach. She should have been dumped after the Olympics.

I would go broke for a NWSL set, I would think it would have to be done by Rittenhouse in the way they do their WNBA set. I think UD could do a set since Leaf is also getting USWNT players to sign, but they wouldnt be able to use the USA Gear in the cards.

Has anyone picked up any of the women's players from the new Panini releases?

I picked up a Mia Hamm from Nobility.

I have also noticed that there is a single eBayer that has bought the vast majority of Immaculate Press autos as well.

I've picked up the following from Immaculate so far. I like the way the blue foil looks on the USWNT cards so I'm shooting for /35 of each of them. I need to find a Press /35. Also going to hope for the 1/1 Tobes and need to pick up a /75. They seem to be popping up again on the bay so now I'm debating if I should hold out for 17/75. I'll probably just pick one up in the mean time that I can always replace with the 17 if it ever shows up. I also picked up a couple retail hanger boxes of Select. Pulled a single Carli base and that was it for women. So if anyone needs mens team base or checkerboards let me know. I'll probably buy a couple boxes when/if the price goes down.

Good luck on Press. Her Select In the Clutch insert /5 went for $255 this morning to a zero feedback bidder. I'm sort of baffled by her prices considering there's really nothing for the women for another year and a half. But it only takes one collector/investor to do it I suppose. There was an eBayer that was doing that with all her Leaf Sports Heroes autographs and parallels, but that was at least before the Olympics. After the US got bounced, that same person moved a lot of them for a lot less than they paid. Maybe the same happens with Press?

Can't find reasonably priced Select parallels of Horan or Dunn, which is annoying.

I won't be competition for you on Tobin. I won't be getting over her dirty foul on Taylor Smith. haha Best of luck in finding what you want of hers. Has she been reasonably priced for the most part?

She's still overpriced considering she barely played last season and just had surgery to even keep her out of national camp. She has a rabid following just like Press though. I can't bring myself to pay the Press prices yet. She's going to be in every women's product for a long time I think so I'll bide my time.

I'll never forgive Tobin for the Smith foul. She DEFINITELY seems to get the benefit of the doubt on a lot of fouls. Which drives me crazy as a Red Stars fan, but not as much during national games somehow...

Would love to see some new faces in women's products. Like Smith, Pugh, Short, etc.

Agreed on Heath. I'm in the same boat with Press as well. I also just looked and really don't understand either of their prices considering both are 29 and aren't remotely guaranteed starters in the Ellis world. I'm a big fan of Press' game, but when we're talking about spending that kind of money on an autograph of her (last one went for $80+), I have to take into consideration those other things like age and role on the team along with her overall career.

Heath at least has been a mainstay on the team for many years prior.

Totally agree on the need for new. Lavelle and more Mewis would also be good too.

I'm super curious how my Danes do against this US team too; it's like end of the month or something I think.

I did pick up an interesting Dunn item; once it arrives, I'll post a pic.

I missed the auction and was more than a little disappointed.
