Last time I checked, IKF doesn't really play the infield.

14 games in left field
9 games at third
2 games in right field
1 game at SS

The failure to solve the left field issue is going to cause even greater issues next year.

Free agents include Bader and IKF (LF and CF), Donaldson - has an option but why sign him? (3B), Severino and Montas (SP), and Peralta (RP).

And they are already looking at $173,583,333 for Judge, Cole, Rodon, Rizzo, Stanton, DJ, and Kahnle. Then there's the $8,000,000 to option Donaldson (or $16,000,000 to keep him), and $9,785,714 for Hicks being DFA'd.

This is one of the reasons I say the Yankees are out on Ohtani before the bidding even starts. Either way, they have a lot of holes next year.

Not only is LF an issue, but CF as well. Obviously you can't predict injuries but if/when Bader goes down (assuming they keep him) the only legit backup they have for that position is Judge. They need to sign CF guys that can play the corners if need be, not the other way around.

Yes and add in the fact that Stanton is no more than a full time DH as any time in the field will likely result in another IL trip.

The Phillies game was cancelled too. I can tell you, down here in Northern VA this morning, the air was making me cough and you could smell the burning. I can't imagine how hard it would be to play in New York yesterday where it had a higher concentration of smoke and pollutants.

Judge made a incredible catch, helps increase his DWAR and his availability is lost for 2 weeks if not longer. Will he be fully recovered ? Having a healthy Judge in the lineup is more beneficial than making a outstanding catch. At least he increased his WAR. Now we get to see how his replacement performs.

I would take one less outstanding walk crashing catch with 10 ? more fully healthy ? Games in the lineup.
