I'm basing what "I'm saying" on what is being said by the White House. There reasons? It would be counter productive.

And how long do you think he would last if he went against the White Houses wishes?

Fauci is more important to the country by toeing the line and not ruffling the sensitive feathers of the nation's foremost expert on Coronavirus.

And with that said, he should postpone his appearance with the Senate as well.

I agree. If he's not appearing before one why would he testify before the other? I could care less about the Dems or the Rep. This is just another game between the 2 in their on going sh*t show of trying to gain control.

Why would he care if they thought it was counter productive? If he thought it was important wouldn’t he do it. Are you saying he would go against his own beliefs? What was his response to all this?

He would last as long as his health allows him. He has a great job and finances would never be an issue. So that’s a weird question.

No. What's weird is way I'm bothering with this conversation. You obviously have your thoughts on this. And what's even more obvious is you'll never change your opinion. Regardless of what I say. So discussing this is a waste of both of our time, and/or, effort.

Just seems like he’s not being blocked as what is reported. He can freely do as he pleases. Just seems he doesn’t feel it’s important. Others say differently but show nothing to back it up. I’d just like to here what Fauci says about it. That would clear it up for everyone.

Almost all the faces of Covid on TV are overdue for some change. Just my opinion.

I agree 100%

Both sides are going to say it's for different reasons. Reasons, that I'm sure, will coincide with their agendas. I don't trust either to give us the actual truth as I don't believe they are capable to telling us the truth. Hearing from Fauci would be nice though.

http://www.nationalreview.com/news/t...llup-poll/amp/

Surprised no one mentioned this yesterday. Trumps 4 year high approval from independents. That’s big. Patience is done with the lock outs with the majority.

The people playing humanitarian with 65k deaths, with the majority of them being people exiled to nursing’s homes by family to love out their last days, vs showing no care about the 30M unemployed is the biggest fraud going on.

November is going to be bad for Dems.

I thought polls were meaningless?

Regardless of how you feel about the Gallup poll the pulled data is consistent.

Since the lockdowns have become a party line issue (which is sad), you are seeing more Dems and Independents crossing the line so to speak.

Who knows anymore with polls? They said Clinton would beat Trump and that no one on blowout where’s a mask while driving except IronMonkey which we know is a lie.

Not to mention the policy of Grim Reaper Cuomo and State Death Commissioner Howard (Mother) Zucker to force corona patients onto nursing homes. Murder, plain and simple - even by their own standards.

People fail to understand that someone can be liberal and not in favor of the lockdown. The biggest problem is pigeonholing every person who disagrees with the lockdown as a far right Trump person

Or a Republican can be for the lock down.

That’s what annoys me when people bring all their MAGA stuff to the protests. If you have that there, the state governors just dismiss it as a bunch of Trump people

I see nothing wrong with MAGA. It, in general, is a wonder concept. The problem is that people are making MAGA mean what they want it to mean. A great America has nothing to do with a far right, or a far left, utopia. To me it's about making the country a place to be proud of.

Which is more the side I'm falling on (except in the more densely populated cities where the risk of overwhelming hospitals is still a major concern).

Require everyone to wear masks when they enter retail businesses, have all restaurants to remain drive thru and pickup only, and push for those who are immuno-compromised or over the age of 60 to shelter at home. Make sure places that process food and other consumables are being carefully sanitized. Keep running awareness campaigns about the infectious nature of the virus and make as much information about the virus available. Also, tell Trump to stop talking.

As it stands now, though, I think more harm is being done to our economy than is offset by the benefit of being locked down. New York City and Middleofnowhere, MT don't have the same needs as related to the virus.

It is very sad that this has become a partisan issue, and I am even more sad that I have to agree with Republicans on something ().

No way. It's way too early for the daily prize, although, I agree, he could at least spell a guy's name right if he's elevating him to that level of historical villainy.

On the actual subject, Gavin Newsom is witnessing the wide public opinion up close, and paying attention. A county in the remote upper right corner of California with no Corona cases is open for all business and has not heard from the Governor. He'll wisely leave most at-risk L.A. to Mayor Garcetti's recommendations and ease restrictions on the rest of the state during this next week, while still watching closely the science in case the pace of the return to normal requires adjustments. Fingers crossed everyone, as this is, once again, a model for the nation to follow.

How's that?
In this great country, you can run businesses (started with other people's money) into the ground over and over, sticking creditors with the bill every single time, and still be President of the whole thing.

Why is Coronavirus partisan in the first place?

Sure, some partisan garbage about acting slower or quicker...but closing the country isn't/wasn't some plan by the democrats.

It was a plan by politicians on both sides, including stay at home guidelines put forth by the White House.

The notion that stay at home orders will cause the electorate to swing one way or another is to assume that the electorate is full of morons who cannot formulate their own thoughts. So, perhaps it will indeed swing the election one way or another.

Trump tweeting "Liberate" to states that he himself requested to stay at home just shows how he loves the conflict. Division and emotion puts excited butts in the seats.

It plays in reality tv, and he's playing it with the country.

But Coronavirus? Revisionist history regarding stay at home orders is the only way this can skew partisan.
