If you only keep 24 players, you can use all 6 of your draft picks. If you use all 25 of your keeper slots, you can only use 5 draft picks- Does that answer your question?

I currently have 6 draft picks, so I'd have to forfeit my 4th round selection (48th overall) as of now. With that being said, would I be able to draft someone with that pick if I drop an additional player from my team? Or would I be re-positioned at 61st overall? Just let me know.

Hopefully Benintendi will be added to the ESPN pool. Then SAF can significantly overdraft his guy with the first pick

Since I only have 21 players, I can draft the rest of my team after the MLB draft, right?

So if I drop someone else, I'll still be able to draft my final player 48th overall?

In other words, my question is whether I'd have the 48th pick still or if I'd be pushed all the way to the end if I dropped another player.

I'd have to assume that I'd just be able to keep the 48th pick, but I just wanted to make sure. Sorry if I'm being unclear.

Yeah, after the drafts are over, I will set the waiver order and open up adds/drops from the free agency pool

So you have 25 players on your roster now, and 6 major league draft picks? You can either keep all 25 players and forfeit that last pick, or drop one more player and only use 24 keepers and then use that 6th draft pick in its current position

I would feel so much more comfortable with my 4th overall pick if I knew who awz and Gum wanted 2/3

"If there are any teams that do not use all 25 of their keeper slots, we will continue the snake draft order with whoever is left as long as they still have roster slots to fill (until they reach a full 30-man roster)"

Nvm, this answered my question. The MLB draft will continue until everyone has 30 players

Does that make sense?

Whoops, my previous comment was wrong, ignore that

Yes, if you are the only team with less than 30 players at the end of the 5th round, you'll get to pick as many players as it takes to get your up to 30 players. These will count as draft picks, not free agent adds

Yeah that won't apply until after all teams have 30 players on their roster

I know we've done this before, but I've made a few more trades to make the chain longer, so I thought I would do this again as this involves some great players. I started with Chris Sale and then made the following trades:

4/18: Traded: Chris Sale (SF). Acquired: Sonny Gray (SP), Jeff Samardzija (SP)
5/6: Traded: Jeff Samardzija (SP). Acquired: Miguel Sano (3B)
10/25: Traded: Sonny Gray (SP), Kole Calhoun (OF). Acquired: Paul Goldschmidt (1B), Masahiro Tanaka (SP)
10/27: Traded: Anthony Rizzo (1B), Masahiro Tanaka (SP). Acquired: Yoenis Cespedes (OF), Michael Wacha (SP)

Basically what I did was-
Trade Sale, Calhoun, Rizzo from my original roster
Acquire Sano, Goldschmidt, Cespedes, Wacha

Pretty happy with that!

Thanks for the clarification about the draft order.

I couldn't do one of these because it would be way too much work. I've made 37 trades so far.

For sure, let me know if there's any other questions

Yeah you're insane. I've made a lot more than those few, but that one was easy starting with one player I originally drafted

whoa whoa, had no idea about matvoo. granted, a raw card he sent me was in the worst condition vs. advertised condition out of all my BO transactions.

I traded a lot of talent/points this offseason. Hopefully I don't regret it

Basically traded:

Shields, Lester, Matz and Conforto

For

Harvey, Stanton and draft picks

I'll take Stanton off of your hands.

Might give you a run for your money in HR's.

Donaldson
Rizzo
Abreu
Martinez
Upton
Moustakas
Correa

If anyone is interested in Kershaw, make me some offers. Though I most likely won't accept them (unless they're amazing), I'm interested in seeing what I can possibly get for him. I am interested in a top, young hitter and young pitching. Feel free to make offers on any of my other players as well if you'd like.

Damn nice lineup. Not a fan of Moustakas, but you definitely have some nice power. If Tulo and Darnaud can stay healthy, Im expecting them to hit 20-25 hrs

22 HR to only 76 K's, I'm a fan. I'm in the same boat with Rendon and Mesoraco, all depends on health.
