Nope. I see this one falling short. If it breaks 7 figures, I'd be shocked. Hope it does, but just don't see it happening. Not at this stage of the season.

What do you mean by this stage of the season? Bucs getting a top 3 seed...surely now is a better time than say pre season or earlier in the season?

Tons of their cards get relisted. I generally won’t even bid on a probstein auction.

Out of all of their items, even if a lot get relisted, it’s a small % since they have so many

Why not bid and just not go over the amount you want to spend?

That’s what I’m trying to say. It’s somewhat of a buyer’s market right now. With a few exceptions, there’s a dip in demand across the board from those historic highs in Feb-Mar. Current prices already have a lot of those considerations you mentioned baked in. He’s already got all the stats and records practically. There are very little surprises left, even HOF induction, that will generate any more interest than what is already on the market. It will take a SB appearance to generate the next big surge from what is an already high bar. This is a trend I’ve seen over 20 years now.

There were 4 others that sold between $7900 to $8100 on the Nov 17th and a couple
at around $7500 on Nov 15th. At least that's what completed ebay auctions
show.

These sold for north of $8k right after the Super Bowl win, I almost sold mine then with the premise to rebuy one back when they dipped.

Also, we can't discount that many people who own these cards may still have acquired them back before they were gold mines. So it's possible that even though they own a high dollar value card, they could need the money now for Christmas, living expenses, or maybe other investment opportunities.

Wouldn’t now be the time to sell? As far as if someone doesn’t want to hold until he retires or longer. Brady is about win MVP and there’s even a chance they’re back in the Super Bowl. Compared to say a month ago, two months ago, three months ago, the off-season etc? Last year around playoff time his rookies took off, looks like the same thing is happening again

MVPs are not a big factor. Brady’s got plenty already. Playoff victories are. If you think the Bucs are gonna get bounced early, sell during the days/weeks leading up to the game. If you think they’re going to win it all, sell right after the SB victory. That’s where the biggest spike will be.

Even if they do win it all, won’t prices be higher the next season and beyond?

Around playoff time this season, prices will be higher than right after they won the Super Bowl, for the most part

By the way, I hope Brady DOESN’T win the MVP. I think there’s something to it being the jinx that everybody says it is. Like somewhere in the player’s brain, something shuts off when ever they win it. Maybe just bit of complacency or something. In any case, the drive is just not the same afterwards. I’d much rather he loses out, get pissed, and then balls his way to ring #8. I value the SB MVP more than the regular season one.

FWIW I'd be happy to see Brady get another MVP. Right now he is tied with Rodgers, Favre Unitas, and Jim Brown at 3 each. Then Peyton Manning has 5. A 4th would be a nice differentiator.

If there’s one person that doesn’t apply to, it’s Brady lol you think his drive for an 8th ring will be effected?

He’s going to win it. His numbers/remaining schedule don’t even give anyone else a chance

It seems like QB MVPs never wins a SB in the same season. Believe Warner was the last in 99.

Don’t kid yourself Brady winning a 4th MVP will be huge he has the current record for the oldest and about ready to shatter it. You think a MVP will slow Brady down?! Come on nothing will slow him down other than himself.

Wrong. I sold my BC PSA 9 the day after the super bowl for $8500 on eBay.
I paid $500 for it 3 years ago.

That’s incredible. I wonder why prices dip in the off-season? Having just won the Super Bowl, nothing was going to change.

I don’t see why prices would drop over the next few months compared to going up
