Guess Bakhtiari plans to have surgery soon on knee as his aim is to try to be healthy for 2024. What a joke that will be the 3rd or 4th surgery on that knee. It's never going to be 100% again. Packers will cut him. He will sign with the Jets to play with his buddy Rodgers. Hobble thru another year and then retire.

Lions have been doing good over the last 3-4 years of building up young talent on this team and they seem to finally got to the point that talent has developed into good players.

I saw a tweet that says the Lions are the new Packers, the Packers are the new Vikings, the Vikings are the new Bears, and the Bears are the new Lions. And honestly? Kinda checks out.

Some other quick thoughts from last night:

That game was an embodiment of Dan Campbell - Detroit came out and just smacked them in the mouth, and there's a lot of physicality/toughness up front on both sides. They're a well-coached team with a lot of young talent, and that's the complete opposite of the Patricia/Caldwell eras.

Green Bay has some guys that should be on the unemployment line - especially Royce Newman and Joe Barry. A patchwork OL against that Detroit front seven is tough enough, but I can't imagine anyone doing worse than Newman did last night.

I was at least a little pleased to see GB fight back in the second half. Gonna be some growing pains with a young team, but Love seems like a tough kid and played a lot better in the second half.

I don't know that you can age a multi-year outlook from one game (but I would still take the younger/cheaper/higher ceiling guy, especially if you're just scouting the similar stat lines from last night).

Green Bay got whooped, so I'd agree if I said they had a better 53-man outlook or situation...but that would've been foolish to begin with.

Love had his moments- the best being the drive that opened the 3rd quarter. Otherwise he struggled. Maybe if GB upgrades their OL he'll be better. But pound for pound behind the same OL I'm still going with the Goffense.
