Logan Driscoll from me.

I give the opportunity to upgrade to USPS GA if they want as well, but the buyer chose ESE.

Almost had a problem today with your shipment to me....nothing to do with you, but the mailman put your package in the wrong box. I got the notification from the USPS that it was delivered, went to get it and it wasn't there. I was able to quickly track down the mailman, had him go back to the community boxes.....he opened them up and sure enough he put it in the wrong box.....said something about the eclipse....LOL. So....you almost got an e-mail from me today about your package showing "delivered", but I did not initially receive it.....it happens.

It’s happened to all of us at one time or another.

I’m not sure what kind of response he could give if I were to send a message prior to opening the claim. I know he shipped it, tracking proves it. I’m not looking for a reason it hasn’t arrived. It’s not like I’d ask him to contact the PO and “find out what’s going” and why this program occasionally fails… it’s been long enough- there are a few free, simple clicks to resolve this, ya know?
Anywho, glad the cards arrived safely Jeff

I agree there is really no reason for a buyer to have to contact a seller when the item does not arrive. Especially if tracking shows its been shipped. Not much the seller can and most will do anyway. <ight as well just file and let Ebay deal with it.

Bought a card from a guy; paid immediately. A week goes by and he has another card for sale. I like the card so I'm watching it. He's asking $80 and he sends an offer for $70.

I reach out because the card routingly is selling for $25 to $35. I send him a message:

***
Good evening,

I wanted to reach out because you sent an offer that I got for 10% off. I'm interested in the card, but it's selling for $20 to $35, not the $70 that you're offering. Is there any chance we can get it down there?
***

His response:

***I would do $35***

So, I send an offer for $35, thanking him.

3 hours later he declines the offer and blocks me. Makes no sense. I have 100% feedback and over 4k in transactions.

I always love these.

I put a card up for $500 OBO on April 5th.

Within hours, some guy sends me a message through eBay "’I'll give you 10"

Card sells for $450 a few days later.

Those are the best. Even better when it sells at full ask.

Happens all the time.

You could list $1,000 in cash for sale on eBay, and no doubt, some idiots would come along and offer you $250 for it.

I just don't get what the end objective of the low-ball offer is. Do some sellers really accept pennies on the dollar for their items? It is a non-starter as far as negotiation for me. If you offer me $100 for a card I have listed for $900 - I will just not respond.

Reminds me of a buyer who reached out to me last week on a $4.99 free ship item with no offers turned on.

Buyer: "Can you do 25 cents and free shipping?"

Me: "I cannot."

There's an awful lot of broke dicks on eBay looking for someone to make the mistake of hitting "accept offer" instead of decline, that's what I've seen. The eBay forums I am on says this happens more than we'd think.

Just got a negative and this one will likely stick. Guy buys antique (100 year old) compressor/motor assembly. Pretty neat piece. 30 days go by never hear from them and they just left me a negative. I reach out to them and they tell me from the pics in my listing they can tell I shipped the item like this.

Finally after a few messages I ask for a picture and they finally give me one. The item is now missing a part (drive belt) and it sure looks to me like someone used something like a flat head screw drive to remove it and broke the top of the drive pulley using it for leverage.

they swear it didn't happen in shipping and they don't want a refund but are damned determined to say I did it. I asked if by chance if an employee or something did it on accident and they told me the other person (whoever that is) said it came out of the box like that and there were no pieces so they know it was shipped like that.

I remember the guy pestering me trying to get me to drop the price and I almost pulled the item because I liked it so much and was tempted to keep it. When I told them this they bought it. What I had forgot was people on ebay suck and I don't trust them and I took video the day I shipped the item of me testing it and showing it worked. Not that it matters but people suck.

Not to be negative all the time I did get this message from a ebay buyer who was rather rude to me for no reason (they wanted to cancel a purchase but I already shipped it, they called me a liar and said it was sitting on my table or something, I pointed out the fact it was already scanned into the system.) They basically told me to screw off and I was getting a negative (which i guess I did today just from someone else).

"Thank You

Please accept my apology I was so furious this idiot in one of my apartments let the washer slam unbalanced with a blanket that he broke it
So I was just really totally pissed off
Thanks to you I don't have to pay a fortune for one of these new garbage washers
I have been with this 90 series washer for 30 years and i do not want a new one

really Thank you 1000 times !"

I've banned about 10 ebay users just this week for super lowball offers. It's getting out of hand

That's a nice message from the washer guy. Not enough people own up to their mistakes nowadays.

They're rare, but I'll admit that nice messages / feedback from eBay users can sometimes make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Absolutely.

It's funny how we typically recoil when we get a notification that someone has reached out with a message on a previously purchased item, expecting the worst. When it turns out to be a compliment or a thanks, it's a great feeling.

I was having a pretty cruddy week and even worse day so it was nice for someone to change it up for once and apologize like that.

I do get messages often from people thanking me for helping them with a repair or finding an item even if I don't have it. I rarely if ever get a buyer write me to apologize for acting poorly. People are so terrible to each other anymore (especially over the internet) its actually sad I was so surprised I got an apology.

When you're having that type of day/week and hear that ebay email notification it does send a cringe through my body to open it up and read it. For my type of personality I couldn't have picked a worse category to sell in that's for sure.

Sent a 10% off seller offer for a $1.99 card. Buyer reaches out asking for pics of the front and back, for which I (foolishly) obliged. Buyer responds this morning saying they need to decline as they think they already have a copy, but they can’t find it. This is why I don’t typically respond to requests for more pics.

I basically have a price limit of $25 for me to send closer picks of a card. Anything less than that I tell them I offer 30-days return on my dime.
