Damn, glad I sold when I did. My moments would have been worth around $480 by today's prices had I not sold them for about $1,000 in total. Kind of shocked by how fast this has fallen.

I think there is a future, and maybe Top Shot is it, but the days of meteoric rises might be done with or over for now.

Would be better to go FIFO to ensure fairness and be more encouraging to users that they won't have their money inaccessible for months. I'm sure I'm not the only one who won't put more new money in until I see I can take money out.

Sure, they could still sell the moments to themselves, but they are loosing 10% (5% on the front end and 5% on the back end) and the hassle of the buying & selling process.

Yeah looks like most of the gifts were in the March 29th time frame which is after they changed their stance. He was obviously using multi accounts to snag the cheap 14 dollar pack, then gift to his main account so he had so many to sell

It's very obvious he lacks the understanding that blockchain tracks all transactions. There's a site called bitcloud which allows content creators to create their own kind of crypto coin that people can publicly buy and sell with. If the creator gets more popular, the value goes up is kind of the idea behind it.

Well Vegas Dave joined it, artificially rose the price, and when the price rose significantly, he sold off his coins he bought from his multi accounts he used to raise the price. When people accused him of selling off what he bought, he posted "the site is wrong, I'm buying more not selling. The blockchain is wrong".

He's notorious for constantly changing his bet slips to show he had the right side when in fact he was on the wrong side. He can't get away with that on the blockchain

Topshot was also still hot, means a Seeing Stars packs had quite some value (I sold my Sabonis SS for 200 bucks, better don’t look what it’s worth now lol), so if you’d get all those SS moments with multiple accounts you could easily achieve the challenges with your main account (Vegas Dave) by forwarding them as gifts and flip all the Dupes.

Has it actually been confirmed that this is actually the real Vegas Dave? Anyone can name their account whatever they want and there are no restrictions on changing the name as much as you want so I never assumed it was actually him.

If you look at the overall market, most of the stuff is right back where it was before the crazy February boom which is probably where prices should be. I pulled a /4k Cole Anthony that was selling for around $900 during that boom. That's an insane price for a not very rare, not very good player. Wasn't realistic to expect that to continue.

They still aren't letting in new users aside from google accounts as far I know so you're right there's no exception of any type of rise until they open the floodgates and start marketing the product.

I'm still at 3x-4x from initial prices before the meteoric rise. I'd be higher but LaMelo dropped considerably after injury. Most(99%) of my Moments are Series 1 and Series 2 less than /7500. LeBron's injury hurt as well.

And what exactly do you think all the bots are doing? Obviously there is a reason 85,000 accounts were getting in a stress test drop with no notification sent out to phones and 15 minutes notice on crappy discord. It's called bot city.

I just think it's hilarious that they believe it's some kind of "GOTCHA" moment that I mentioned I was closer to withdrawal. You can withdrawal some dapper and still leave some in your balance to play with..lol...but I guess that somehow makes me a hypocrite?
