I'm glad prices are shooting up but this is just nuts.

I used to buy hobby boxes of cards and but them in penny sleeves right away. I'd then store them in my closet in 5000 ct boxes. I have a lot of cards from 2011 that haven't seen for the past 9 years. During "Quarantine", I decided to get a Beckett Price Guide and browse through my cards for the first time since then. Imagine my surprise when I discovered I have (9) Mike Trout RCs and the prices they've been fetching online. It's like I won the freaking lottery. I'll probably hold onto these for a while.

I found (2) Bowman Chrome, (1) Bowman Chrome Refractor, (3) Bowman Draft, (2) Topps Finest & (1) Topps Update.

(Sorry you have to click on each picture to view. I didn't know how else to post the image)

Found a case of these that I had opened back in 2012.

I save most of my boxes after breaking them, what does an empty rookie of the year box go for...LOL

Don’t see any posts about in here but a 09 Draft Red Refractor ends tomorrow. Highest bid $300k at the moment. Should be interesting to see if it surpasses the $400k the Super went for two years ago.

One day when I'm bored enough I should list my low grade PSAs at a crazy price because I don't want to sell them but maybe it would get people to look at my other stuff. 2011 Topps Update Trout PSA 1 Pop 1 would probably get a lot of views. My asking price of course would be only $50k,

I expect it to exceed the Super sale. The market is in a very different place.

I looked in all my Trout files but I couldn't find one. Could have sworn I showed it off here once before. I'll take a picture of it in the coming days and post it. It's pretty beat up. Bought it for $200 from a guy with no feedback, new account and only listed this one card. He was the one who sent it in according to him. His story behind it was lacking. He just said it was before he took good care of his cards. I don't know what he did with his cards. Put them in his pocket or wallet or bike...the condition isn't just from simple handling or bent on accident etc.

I wouldn't buy a PSA 10 for 3k. I'd pay over $200 for a PSA 1.

Have always loved this card! Just pulled the trigger on a trade. What’s the odds of a PSA crossover?

I picked this up to go in my Z-Folio and I have to say that it’s probably the best looking reprint of Trout’s 2011 Update. The foil linings, stock, and everything else looks amazing. It just has silver boarders.

I am making a page in my Z-Foilo dedicated to all of Trout’s base Topps Chrome cards. Since Trout didn’t have a 2011 Topps Chrome, I placed this card in the 2011 slot. It works well because the silver boarders match well with the first few Topps Chrome years.

2016 Archives (Silver RC 65th Anniversary Reprint)

The Flagship base card page below. I used a “Berger’s Best” reprint for the 2011 Update slot. I obviously didn’t want to put the real card in there.. haha.

The real one you should use is his 2014 chrome refractor rookie reprint. Yes, it's a refractor, but it's one of the earliest and my favorite of the reprints thus far.

Thanks! I looked that one up and noticed they sell for much more than I want to spend. This silver one cost $3.00. Haha. But the 2014 Chrome Reprint does look amazing.

I’m sure this has been posted before but as far as the unnumbered 2011 update variations what is the estimated print run of the following:

Diamond
Cognac
Target Red
Walmart Blue

A while back someone inquired on here about the order from most to least expensive of the PSA 10 diamond, gold, cognac, and Walmart blue trouts. Most people had the diamond ahead of the gold in terms of value. Do people really feel this way? I’d probably trade my PSA 10 diamond for a PSA 10 gold if anyone is interested

There is also a 2019 Topps Factory Set Iconic Chrome Card Reprint of the 2011 Update. Goes for $10-$15

Yes, diamond trumps gold.
