I had similar “issues” when I had something up for sale as well. But then I found a great buyer....so it was worth the hassle.

PS - do you think your field level silvers will bump or nah?

Sadly what happens when people are in it for the money or feel entitled to a quick buck. I've had similar issues with prospective Mahomes buyers since 2018.

I feel like I’m a needy Mahomes buyer, but it’s actually for the opposite reason. I was out of the hobby from 2015ish until about a month ago, and I want some Mahomes stuff that I won’t ever get rid of. Since prices are so high though, I only want to make the purchase once so just want to make sure I’m getting what I want.

It's all cards. If I list a 9 on ebay, I always get questions about what the issue is and will it bump. I'm also inundated with "Best price?" messages which I always ignore.

Listed Optic 9 and 10 Holo last week and got all the same questions. Listed them here as well and instantly "best price?" messages. Prices are listed. If you want to make an offer, go ahead. The 10 was averaging $1950-$2000 on ebay and I had an $1850 offer in the first hour on ebay. Listed one here at $1775 and got offered $1600 because "that would be the same as my ebay offer"...

One member made me an offer, I countered and we were done in 30 seconds. It really doesn't have to be that difficult. I always try to disclose any flaws but if they're graded, come on.

It is not just Mahomes. It is the same way in basketball. People want huge discounts or they question everything. As soon at
S the discussion go down that path I simply say never mind and thank you for your interest. I am very much aware of what they are trying to do. This is the primary reason I have began to grade. It reduces some of the issues, but not all.

That is a pretty good sign that people know the grading companies get it wrong.....alot.

And that they dont trust the grades.

If thats not a sign of that, I dont know what is.

I also don’t understand the people that want an invoice, and want very detailed descriptions AND are unwilling to just send me the money to my PayPal with the description they want. 195 feedback here with no negatives, I’m confused by it.

I don’t think it has anything to do with the grading company. I think it’s just desperate Mahomes-heads (similar to meth-heads) that will scratch and claw and find any way to get their hands on him. Low balls, hopes and dreams of a higher grade, etc.

It’s just the nature of the beast now. You also have a lot of new money coming in and maybe their offer/negotiating language is a bit elementary. I’m sure it will get annoying and like others said it’s not just Mahomes.

Yes - they were case hits and the only parallels are the Gold /10 and the Black Finite /1.

Some of that may be true. I think it is more how everything is about investing now. The person on the card is almost irrelevant. It is about buying the hot assets at the lowest price and gaining the most on the flip.

If somebody asks "best price". Tell them the listed price or higher would the best price for me.

This sucks and must be infuriating.....on the flip side...i just did a deal with a forum member and it couldn't have gone smoother or easier.
In fact,i think i just made a friend for life and if the chiefs make the SB,i'll be flying from Melbourne with my son and joining in the festivities.

I really want to add a stained glass, a Kaboom, an Optic auto, and a die cut select to my PC. Any other really cool looking Mahomes RCs or cards with cool stories to add? Just getting back into collecting so I didn’t even know Kaboom was a thing until someone on here posted theirs and they’re fantastic.
