Does MLB get the same type of MVP voter fatigue that NBA gets, or can Ohtani realistically get the MVP 5+ years in a row if he keeps this up

I think the answer is pretty clear, he didn't even get it two years in a row.

I wouldn’t say it’s realistic. I could maybe see a B2B MVP but there will always be someone who puts up a historic or career year.

I think as long as Ohtani is healthy and performing he will be the favorite for the MVP year in and year out. He only gets beat if another player has a historic year with more WAR.

They didn't get tired of Bonds, and he had to cheat to do it.

NL MVP: 1990, 1992, 1993, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004

I would love to see Shohei on P.E.D,S no limit to what he could do.

Judge is certainly looking like he'll give him a run for his money again if he can stay healthy. There's also the prospect of Ohtani being traded to an NL team which would change the calculus as well.

Silent George's blurb on Ohtani for the HOF tracker is pretty great:
Shohei Ohtani, 0.4 // 2.2 // 25.1
--His batting average (.282) is almost double what batters are hitting against him (.142)

Because Judge had the best non-steroid season in the last 50 years. Highest non-steroid single season WAR total since 1973 which cleared Ohtani by a full 2 WAR. That's how you beat him

Not many secrets or niche rookie cards to collect anymore for Sho. Someone swept the reasonably priced A&G #352 minis (PR of 50) off the board and I barely fended off bidding out that PSA 8 icons 10 I thought would be a gross overpay. You guys are killing me!

I just picked up another 20 ish Ohtani cards over the weekend, but still losing lots of auctions as well, including that PSA 8 Icons lol.

Shohei's market is strong

Trueblue....Do you only buy high end Ohtani cards? Not sure what the definition of high end, but for me that would be any RC that is 1k or more. I stick to low and medium end Ohtani cards. Are there any $500 or less RC cards that you think the market still is under valuing?

Heritage Low #17 Action. I keep saying this, but supply has gone down drastically over the last year. It's a classic RC image, SP (2-3k), and condition sensitive. These were $1K for a PSA gem during initial hype. Strange that these have not returned to that level while others have rocketed. A BGS 9.5 or raw (when it's rarely available) is under $500.

I think I’ve posted this elsewhere, but do any of you Ohtani experts have an opinion/guess of what this may fetch these days?
