Yes, you'll be issued one of these and members are given a waiver enabling us to cry-eat all the stockpiled candy that had been intended for Halloween night on the actual day our respective team is eliminated from the postseason.

I always make sure to have plenty of Snickers bars in-house.
They're my favorite!

It's hard to believe that the Phillies have never played a game 7 in their history.

Interesting fact I would have never guessed that.

I really can't believe the diamondbacks pushed it this year. Philly is a superior team in almost every category. A true david vs goliath matchup. Win or lose Arizona has had a great season.

I was trying to find out if any team with a minus runs scored for the season has ever won the World Series but no luck in my research yet. I will continue the search.

The Texas Rangers extends a warm thank you to the St Louis Cardinals for their cast offs Jordan Montgomery and Adolis Garcia, without which none of this would be possible.

Have we ever had 2 home teams both lose game 7?

I am cheering for Arizona simply because I think it will be fun to have 2 fresh young teams. Philly has been there and done that before and nobody outside of Houston cares about the Astros.

People will moan about ratings being low this and that because their favorite roider or over the hill starter isn't in it but ratings tell you how many people watch not how good the games were. Competition and excitement wise if Arizona pulls it out tonight this WS has the potential to be the best in a decade or more and could catapult someone like Carroll , Jung, or Carter to the next level. Even guys like Alek Thomas who has had a really nice post season thus far after being dead and buried early in the season as just another mehhh player.

About 18.6M for MNF vs 6.8 for game 7, football is king.

MLB needs to have a script like the NFL and rig it so Ohtani has a bionic elbow, signs with Dodgers and is pitching to Judge in Game 7 of the world series. Then they might get 10m viewers.

I'm from Philadelphia, so I am obviously seeking a different result. The Diamondbacks have a bright future with their young talent, and I hope that franchise gets another one within the next few years.

I just hope the Phillies win it all this year for the fans. It's in-arguable (is that a word?) that the Phillies fans are passionate. That stadium rocks each and every night, to the point that some broadcasters opine that there is no such thing as home field advantage in baseball, except for Citizens' Bank Park.

Harper signed with the Phillies due to that passion, as did Turner. Also, I believe more than any other sport, baseball is a formative sport for younger kids playing little league, etc. I know as a kid of the 80s, I loved going to Veteran's Stadium with my glove and a hoagie in my mother's tote... You could bring food into the stadium back then.

And one time, the Phillie Phanatic came through our section, blew out his tongue at me and hugged me, and that costume smelled like musty garbage... a smell I would not encounter again until I started playing ice hockey in High School.

Anyway..... Go Phils!

Not sure why they couldn't wash it. Gross.

Sort of ruins the experience of something that could have been memorable (in a good way I mean).

I also remember people smoking cigarettes in Veteran's Stadium, which had an open roof, but also the Spectrum for Flyers and 76ers, which had no open roof. Different times!

AZ on the verge of scoring in the first. Yup. 1-0 so far.

Phillies, if you want to be a special squad, opportunity knocks.
