2018 Topps On Demand

It would be nice if Topps provided clarity in advance on what happens if an on demand item doesn't sell out and there are numbered parallels. While I am happy the print run on the mini packs is half of last year, we have no idea how they will deal with the parallels. If they give us the extra cards, great. If they only print 5 of a parallel numbered to 10, then that isn't so great because we will have no idea if the others get backdoored at some point and it will be difficult trying to sell a card serial numbered to 10 but for which only 5 were printed and trying to explain that to the buyer. Thus the importance of having a policy in place in advance. Topps has all of the optionality.

The mini cards might just out pace the 3D cards since they are rarer.

The email came on Dec 1. It looks like I should have them on Thursday.

The other two orders I made with adding two boxes each time have not shipped yet. I am hoping they will all be in there and I have a chance at a set as I ordered 2, 2, and 33, I meant to get another 3 but forgot to order them I was figuring if they would sent them all together I would get a complete set like the 3D cards, but that was my bad. I am hopeful some of the singles will be available for me to grab a set with 150 of each.

The 83 inserts should be real nice since there will be only about 20 of each of those cards available.

I think the 3D cards will will outperform the mini's even though there are more of them. But i do think the mini's will do very well. I think the 3D cards are really nice and people will be looking for them for a long time.

They might, but I'd say these mini's will actually be much more scarce in the long run considering they cut production in half on them this year.

It's no secret that I believe Topps produced a real winner with this year's On Demand 3D release. I like it so much, that I decided to try to build the entire set with each of the 100 base cards exposed on top of the case while the case is still sealed.

I have no idea if the entire set of 100 cards even exists in this way, but I have 88 of them so far, and I've seen another 5, so at least 93 exist.

There is only a possible 53 of these sets that could have existed before people started tearing through them. Now, maybe none are possible.

Here are the 88 I have so far:







I'm looking for the 12 I still need. None are the bigger names from the set. If any of you still have unopened packs, I am offering $75/pack for the 12 I need to complete my set. I might even pay more as I get closer to the end.

Please let me know if you might have any.

So when are the Postseason sets going to ship. It has been almost 2 months. These are sticker autos. I would expect the delay with on card autos.

I'm still waiting on the Garbage Pail Kids On Demand set #9 that came out before the Postseason sets.

The GPK says, "ships in 10-12 business days after countdown clock ends".

And the Postseason sets say, "ships in 15 business days after countdown clock ends".

We are long overdue on both I assume.

How long does it take to have a sketch completed? I am sure that takes time and since on demand the sketches were probably not completed yet. I would think the shipping time would be longer for that one. But yes, it looks like both sets are due to be shipped.

I assume you ordered the sets during Cyber Weekend. That is when I made my order so that is good news.

I don't care how long it takes to create a sketch. The product page said, "ships in 10-12 business days after the countdown clock ends". They are WAY past due on the GPK set.

I did receive an email stating there were issues with the release and the product was delayed. I just don't know how long it's delayed or what those issues were/are.
